  • Strangely when I look for my cc details in my account, they don't seem to be there. Where did you find yours please fabsaver they seem to have hidden them?
  • I sent an email to [EMAIL="help@virginwines.com"]help@virginwines.com[/EMAIL] last week. I got the same reply as you initially then a couple of days later I received another email from them confirming my winebank membership had been cancelled:)

    Perhaps they are clamping down if they have had a lot of similar requests in the last week. If you remove the credit card details stored in your account then I don't see how they would be able to take any further payments.

    Thanks Fabsaver. I cancelled my cc details straight after I placed the order. I shall give it a few more days before I send them another email.

    To delete, My Account under CC info, there should be a red edit & delete icon --> click delete

    I remembered going to Payment details to double check that my cc details were no longer there.
  • Thanks static999. I guessed that was the route. Interestingly there are no cc details retained(or showing in that section) at all. When I check my account status, looks like I'm signed up to 'Standard 20' whatever that is. I got the £50 off though. Any ideas appreciated about whats happened here. Thanks
  • phoebe03cat - have you delete your cc details (which explains why no cc details were retained)? Before I deleted mine, I could see the details on payment details & CC info section. After i delete it, the details were no longer retained. However, I can still see my cc details under 'Order Tracker' but only the last 5 digits. Like you, apparently I'm signed up to 'Standard 20' (sorry dont' know what that is) but only got £40 off.
  • Yes I can see the last few digits on the order tracker, but haven't deleted cc details myself.Looks to me like they've removed my ability to do so. I reckon the standard £20 will be the dd withdrawal they make every month. Next one due on the 1st Dec. Intend notifying them just after wine comes (should be tomorrow) If they are still delaying cancelling towards the end of the month I intend instructing bank to refuse all future payments to them. Can't argue with their own t&c's.

    Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, you do not seem to have understood my explicit request to cancel my membership with immediate effect.

    If I had wanted to enter into a discussion about the benefits of the Wine Bank, I would have done so.

    Kindly cancel my membership as originally requested.
