We are in London and last month we paid £1500 for all that work plus taking up the floorboards and replacing excess pipework."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0

hope none of you that live in the aylesbury area ever need a plumber my boyfriend moved into a new house and we had a gas leak that meant we had to have the gas cut off and a new pipe put into the back boiler.. we called and im not lying abt 10 plumbers and gas workers who all said would be round the next day and they never turned up.. it seems to be the same with any building work at the moment so if you live in aylesbury and you know of any decent builders please let me know for future reference ..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -
That depends actually because should something serious happen and someone is injured then it is very much illegal as in that person will face criminal charges.......................it's happened in North Devon ,the house blew up and the neighbour was seriously hurt.
Again in Devon,Plymouth a 'house renovator' sorted out the gas fittings himself ,never got it checked/certified safe.............blew up half the street and went to prison :-/
No it's not technically illegal, but no-one should work on gas unless they know what they are doing and should always get it suitably checked by professionals for safety afterwards.
Yes , your right it isn't illegal
But please folks if you DIY get it checked for insurance sake and your safety.
It's about time the law was changed :-/
I second that statement,do not do your own gas work, get a professional in to do the work, and keep us plumbers in the life of luxuary, ;D,help i,am getting sand in my beer
A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
A good plumber is worth every penny

Enjoy your sand
