we paid about £1400 for more or less identical; work a couple of years back, boiler cost was £7/800 quid though0

labour costs - would depend where you live....ie london being the most expensive
3 days labour should be approx 3 * 8 = 24 * £30 = £720
supply and fit programmer..... may need electrician assistance, when i had mine done, cost was £100 for half a day, the programmer price can very from £75 to £150+,
generally the longer the job..... the more the labour cost, my new boiler cost me £385 (standard boiler cost 3 years ago), total bill wast £1500, of which at least £600 was labour
i would suggest you get at least a 2nd quote, using a info from the quote you have.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

We replaced our boiler a few month ago, the bill was -
£520.00 for the boiler
£286.38 for parts
£360.00 for labour (3 days)
TOTAL £1166.38
The plumber did the electrics himself, and bricked up the hole where the old boiler was. Then he knocked off £66.38 because we made him endless cups of tea and a couple of sandwiches ;DBulletproof0 -
I have recently paid £1550 for similar and he took all the old stuff away, took 3 people 8 hours to do.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..

Wow, that sounds good. Do you live in the Milton Keynes area? I doubt it, as you don't get prices like that round here.0 -
No, I live in Gloucestershire. Sorry

I've just moved into my first house.. no double glazing or central heating, no heating of any description to be honest as the engineer condemned the living room gas fire. The sellers sold the house verbally assuring the appliances worked fine, of course I've now learnt to be more cynical, live and learn. Problem is its now nasty-cold of a morning with ice on the inside of the windows, and I'm very much budget stretched as it is.
I was quoted £2500 for a combi boiler and radiators which to me seems insanely expensive and well over what i can even afford as a real stretch for a 2bedroom end terrace. Any in the know, is this higher charge likely to be for putting the pipework etc in, i'd have imagined it would make it a lot cleaner of a job for a plumber to get a clean install. Guess I'd better just get some more quotes.0 -

I've had loads of quotes for a new boiler (in the forlorn hope i'm going to get lucky and receive a reasonable quote) and am nearly always quoted around 2 grand to replace for a like-for-like with hardly any pipework alterations.
It really does seem to be the going rate, which seems a bit steep to me when the boiler's only £600 and the rest is labour for a couple of days work.
In which case £2500 for a boiler and radiators seems about right, although equally as extortionate.0 -

£250 sounds almost fair. From what i've heard the flushing materials are only about £50 and the rest of the materials are a lot less.
All I can say is the sooner the plumber shortage situation is addressed then the sooner we'll all be better off.0
