Dual handset cordless phone with answering machine recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good value telephone answering machine?
We're looking for a digital cordless system with two handsets and a charger/base unit for the second handset.
Our current one isn't very user friendly and we have to hunt for the manual whenever we need to do anything other than make a call (quite often as it doesn't retain any settings if unplugged from the mains!) so we're looking for something a bit more intuitive.

I recently bought the BT Synergy 700, twin phones with Ans M/C off ebay. Have seen good reviews previously and have been very impressed since buying.
Easy to set up, add names etc, very clear reception on both phones and lots of extras. I would recommend this set very highly. Works in similar way to average mobile for finding/adding names etc
Paid £30 inclusive of posting, and comes with 12 month 'warranty' from the supplier, who has good feedback and have been selling on eBay for quite some time.0 -
I've got this set HERE
had for 4 yrs and no probs, easy to use
£75 in most places so this price is amazing
2nd handset doesn't even need a phone socket, just to be plugged in to electric socketI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I got a 3 pack of Philips from Novatec see the thread about it here:money:
They do a 2 pack I think.....:)0 -
I've got the 3 pack of Philips too and I'm very happy with them! Have just checked: they have no 3 packs in stock, and I did have to wait quite a while, began to wonder if they would EVER come or if I should give up and look elsewhere. But they came, and I've got the hang of them! Don't think they do a twin pack, just a single or the triple. I didn't really need 3 but since you can pay that much for a double pack it seemed like a bargain, we're bound to lose a handset before long!nearlyrich wrote:I got a 3 pack of Philips from Novatec see the thread about it here:money:
