its quite stable and heavy when full.. one of mine is a clumsy calamity cat and has survived her so far :)

Yes, my last one was too, I can't even imagine how they had knocked it over as it happened whilst I was out - twice - I think they must have had a party!! I'm looking forward to trying them on this new one.

Do people leave them on all the time? I hate leaving electrical items on when I'm out the house.

We had one of these last year. Our Norweigan forest and moggies all loved it. We replaced the filters every 4-6 weeks but the motor gave up after 8 months. I still think that's a very good price though!

I've got one of the Fresh Flow ones and it's lasted years and all the cats that have used it have loved it.

I generally clean it out once every couple of weeks but only change the filter a couple of times a year as my water is soft anyway, you can pick up the filters in packs of two for around £3 on eBay or Zooplus, Medic Animal etc. Important thing with the pumps is to make sure the intake(s) don't get blocked with fur as it causes them to strain. Mine is getting a little tempremental now, every time I clean the fountain it takes longer to get it going again afterwards so I guess I might be replacing soon.

My package is currently out for delivery with HERMES but they left a card today saying they had tried to deliver twice and will try again tomorrow - doesn't say what time. It's gone to my sisters house and although she's not at work tomorrow, she certainly doesn't want to wait in ALL day for it.

Does anyone know what happens if they can't deliver? On the card there is no phone number, reference, or way to contact them about the delivery. Flipping useless.

EDIT Just seen on the website, they will return it to Amazon if delivery fails tomorrow, hrumph my poor kitties )-:

I bought a cat fountain a few weeks ago because like so many cats my cat would rarely drink from her bowl. So far it's been a success, whether it's turned on or off. The one I got was the raindrop one from Amazon. I hope it lasts but so far my cat is very happy with it.

Thanks everyone... Just ordered one... Hope this keeps my kitty's from my kitchen worktops and bathroom sinks! It will be great if they drink more too. Thanks Betterdays and everyone for the tips

We should try and find the cheapest place for filters!
2 at pet supermarket with free delivery is £4.15 plus 5.05% cash back through topcashback (so roughly £4.00 for 2)

I just bought a few filters, and then a bag of activated charcoal and pond filter wool and just refill the blue cage. Six months later my cats have no complaints!
