I was pleased to have new ways to redeem, but it seems pointless if you have to have 1,000 points or more at a time. What a waste of a good idea, shame on you GTM.

I emailed them as I tried to cash in 867 points for £25 Amazon voucher too, and the reply I got was below which didn't even answer the question!
    Hi,
When you have accumulated 1,000 MarketPoints, redeem them and we will send you a check in US Dollars, or your local currency if available. (1,000 MarketPoints is equivalent to USD $50)
so I replied back saying the UK rewards had changed so are we going to be able to redeem 1000 points or less - still awaiting a reply...

I tried the same, the other day. I had enough for a couple of smaller vouchers and assumed with the change we could not do this but got the error saying I needed 1000 points. Why offer £5 vouchers if you can only cash out 1000 points which is way over the £5 makes no sense :(
  • I got two payments of 40 quid into my paypal the other day... yay!

My email reply was sent on 2 April - all I don't think I'm gonna get a reply, its really funny tho how we are tempted with all these extra rewards but its crazy you now have to redeem at least 1000 points to benefit, if I do get the courtesy of receiving a reply will keep you updated!:(

I think the minimum threshold for redemption hasnt changed (still 1000 points), but now we can combine different rewards when redeeming those 1000 points. Thats what the smaller rewards are for.

Paypal will be much faster than waiting for a cheque, but once I've had my cheque I will let you know how much $50 works out :) That should help a few people (I requested it about a week before the changes so that I would know what was better as well) :)

My cheque was £32.50 - it might be worth it to watch the conversion rates and cash out when it's high I suppose.

    Mine was exactly £32.

I even checked conversion rates from now and when i cashed out using historical exchange raates - was never as low as £32!!!!

So i guess when you cash out does not make difference. It depends when they process it - my cheque was dated 2 days ago but took 5 weeks to come and even if i check the rates - it should work out much more than £32.

Makes no sense to me why its low compared to rates - maybe they take it off for processing etc :(
