have to be the Valuation Tribunal Service who have absolutely no experience or knowledge of the benefits system, so that is going to be interesting!
They can't get council tax appeals correct a lot of the time and they've bee doing them for 20 years.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

I think this is fair, if you get your rubbish collected, then you are using a council service and if "we are all in it together" then everyone should contribute. You will be paying far less than the ever dwindling supply of full time taxpayers who are being asked to pay more and more to support the ever increasing welfare state.
of course you think that its fair.
but you arent one of the many that has to live on £71 a week0

Just a quick question, if you get the support component of ESA, do you still have to contribute to Council Tax Support? Cheers in advance for any info.0

It will totally depend on what your Council has decided in your area. Some are exempting people for example on DLA Higher Care component. The most wasted day is one in which we have not laughed.0

I was told max council tax in south staffs would be 8% if on benefits guess what bill came today after not paying any before as i'm disabled £256 which works out at 20% this government has a lot to answer for seems to be going for the low income and disabled think its a disgrace
You don't "not pay" council tax because you're disabled but because your income is low.0
