I think it mainly depends on your income expenditure...if you have more disposable income you will have to pay more out. Maybe worth checking you have included everything in your IE list!!!.

Sorry - meant to update earlier - with a few minor modifications, mainly to IP fees, IVA went through at 13p. Thanks all.

Who did you go through and how did you negotiate? I've going through PayPlan and they have come up with the follow which doesn't seem as good compared to the posts in here.

They offering me 55.9p in every £ and for my wife 49.2p back in £.

Melanie Giles. IVA Advice Co. Couldn't recommend Melanie & team highly enough.

Negotiation all down to them, based on I/E. obviously, cant give them what I dont have - better return for them than BR

    Hi

Melanie Giles does have a good reputation on the IVA front it has to be said and is never afraid to discuss issues and face the difficult questions.

The name of the game with an IVA is that anyone entering one should carefully consider all the implications and make sure they fully understand the long term.

There does seem to be a bit of a shift towards low payment sustainable IVAs, maybe this is something to do with the absolutely shocking past IVA failure and termination rates.

These are likely to be tough times for IVA companies and some may not survive the long run and good riddance to some of them is my view (maybe they will look at other revenue avenues like selling double glazing or PPI issues & claims)

Im not recommending any particular IVA company with this post.

Always best to get full independent, impartial advice on all debt solutions before making any decisions and from more than one provider.

Sincere best wishes with your IVA.

Just my take and a little tongue in cheek maybe:)
  • Congratulations on your IVA acceptance and all the best for the future :-)

  • Hi Dipsy,

These creditors use representives to vote on their behalf, MBNA use KPMG, Natwest and Barclays use the Insolvency Exchange "TIX" and both are usually fine at accepting IVAs as long as you put forward your best offer.

    Who is your IP Dipsy?
