Yahoo mail problem

Somehow, emails have been sent from my Yahoo mail account to those in my contacts folder - how can that happen and what can I do about it?

Change your password.

Either your account has been hacked and is now sending spam (in which case change your password immediately and run a full AV scan), or it's just address spoofing, which you can do nothing about.
If the emails you refer to are showing in your 'Sent' folder, then you have been hacked. If not, then it's just address spoofing.

It's unlikely to be spoofing because they were sent to all of the contacts folder

Why people leave their contacts on their email provider is beyond belief , except that their contacts contact them and say what's this you have sent me????

Happened to me last night as well, got up to 61 rejected emails !!

Nothing in my sent email folder but looks like they went through my contacts folder. Passwords now changed and contacts deleted.
