There's only two of us, plus a fussy cat and two border collies - and I'd love to get the weekly shop even vaguely in the direction of £30, so will definitely be watching this week.

Always looking for more ideas for cheap and nutritious meals although I wont be joining in fully as next few weeks are planned.

Black Saturns thread is great and I'll be watching this one with interest too.

CTC I was wondering about where the ingredients would be bought and prices etc vary aswell, people on here live so far apart I doubt everyone would be able to access a specific shop, but like you I buy meat, fruit, veg etc locally now so mine would vary anyway.
One day I might be more organised...........

hi...lil_me.......as you know my food budget dropped alot by shopping locally... but i have noticed my meal plan etc has gone out the window with trying to set up my business.... so my spend has gone back up....even though i need to pull back on the food spending etc..... i do not want to go back to supermarket shopping......
so it will be interesting to see what the meal plan is with receipes.... and even if it does work out going over the £29.99....it will get me back on track.. so even if i dont 'officially' join this challenge i do it will my shopping habbits in mind.....

  • Count me in - the cupboards are bare and I haven't had chance to menu plan ready for shopping tomorrow so this is perfect timing.

Thanks also for the link to Black Saturn's menus - I wondered how to read this heavily-suggested thread.

How disappointing, I was hoping to join this challenge, but with no lists or ingredients posted I won't be able to. I won't get online again tonight & will be up at 5 and leaving home @5:30, so won't be able to log on until tomorrow evening after 7, such a shame.
