£800 is an awful lot of bailiff fees

The first thing you should do is get this debt out of the bailiffs hands and back into local authority control your uncle is a vulnerable debtor
    Have you done this ?
if you haven't do you want help with this ?
who did you pay council or bailiff ?
when you pay the bailiff they deduct their fees first therefore the £800 outstanding will be against the liability order(s)(the debts not the fees)
If you have paid the council they may/ should pay the bailiff his fees again this leaves a balance against the debt not the bailiff fees this means enforcement will continue until the debt and fees are paid in full
£800 really is as an awful lot of bailiff fees if goods haven't been removed

is their more than one liability order ?
what paperwork has the bailiff left ?
what bailiff firm is it you are dealing with ?

send this to the council and the bailiff firm by e-mail
    To:
    bailiff Co
    Bailiff House

    Ref: Account(s) No: 123456/7890

    Dear Sir

With reference to the above account(s) Can you please provide me with a breakdown of the charges.

    This includes:
a - the time & date of any Bailiff action that incurred a Fee.
b - the reason for the fee.
c - the name(s) of the Bailiff(s) that attended on each occasion a Fee was charged.
    d - the name(s) of the Court(s) the Bailiff(s) was/were certificated at.
e - the date of the Certification.

This is not a Subject access request under the Data Protection Act S7 1998 so does not incur a fee of £10. You are obliged to provide this information.

I require this information within 14 days.

    Yours faithfully

Can you or dad ask the council for the date and value of all liability orders granted and year to which they apply?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

bailiff fees are set by legislation and for the fees to be £800 (without goods being removed) their must be more than 1 liability order

their must also be a levy on your uncle goods has your dad come across a notice of seizure of goods and inventory (or several if more than one liability order)

if you can answer the questions in my previous post I can help further with this

and as I said if you want help to get this back to the council let me know and I will help with a letter /e-mail to send to the council
