Just got off the phone with NRAM as I too have had a letter saying redress has been added to my account, I told them I had requested that any redress not be added until I gave my permission to do so. The answer I got was that they where required to do it against my wishes as if they did not my account would be at detriment.. I told them it would be in the same position as it was before and I was happy with that and I wanted the redress reversing. Get me my angry trousers......I'm madder than I've ever been.0

I have now received a letter stating that due the non compliance they are refunding over 4600 pounds against my loan account. I believe I should have the choice where the money goes to. It is there error and I have in effect been misadvised. Has anyone got thoughts on best course of action. I did actually call ..them initially and said I do not want this refunded to my account and that I should surely have a choice0

Hi everyone
I to have had a redress of over £3000 added to my loan amount , I have emailed northern rock twice and still had no reply for my request for cash instead of credit to the account. I was never late on a payment and never missed a payment and having this as a cash refund would help me out greatly, I work full time and so does my husband and with the high cost of child care and travel any savings we had are completely gone so having a refund like this would help me do some much needed home improvements.
Does anyone have a template letter of complaint I could send to Nram as they don't seen to be taking any notice of my previous letters to them
I always miss out on windfalls like this, just once I wanted to be one of the lucky ones0 -

There is a template letter on the new NRAM action group web site.
Have a look on there and please sign up for the newsletter.
Just google NRAM action group, should be second in list.0 -
If it has been more than 8 weeks from your first letter of complaint and you still have not had a response from NRAM I would get onto the FOS and lodge a complaint with them.0

Too right. It is our money they have taken, and lets not forget taken in cash payments from our bank accounts. Why should NRAM be able to dictate how we get this money back. We made the payments in good faith, NRAM should return the payments to us in the same way.0 -
We did pay it back. Only problem is they where not allowed by law to charge us the interest we paid.
I'm in a situation whereby they refunded £1039 against the arrears on the account which included the interest they were refunding... almost like its in a loop ? they legally need to refund the interest which they have but applied the redress against the arrears balance which includes the interest they need to pay back??? confused!!0
