best place to buy mother of the bride outfits

Why does it need to be a specialist mother of the bride thing? That's just a way of charging extra! Just buy a nice frock or suit from a favourite shop."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Look at Ebay for Jacques Vert - the ultimate mother of the bride shop.
Most of their stuff is at about a 75% reduction from list by the time it hits Ebay and it's only been worn once (by another mother of the bride!)
Alternatively, Jacques Vert sale is your very best friend.
My mum wore a Jacques Vert suit when I got married

I love Roman Originals designs - just bought a wedding outfit from their outlet in Ebbw Vale. Not sure if they have a website or shops but I am pretty sure I have seen them in good department stores.0

ebay vote here too - in fact, I bought my wedding dress on there (monsoon) - for £23!
trawl through, see what you fancy, and go try on similar ones at John Lewis - then go buy them on ebay for £100's less.0 -

Hello,
My mum couldn't find what she wanted for my wedding so she went to a specialist dressmaker - Adele M Couture in Wakefield. She was brill (made all my bridesmaid dresses too) so talented, she also does wedding couture and the alterations for Perfect Daze at Denby Dale.
My mum had a corset top, bolero jacket and skirt. Even the buttons were handmade! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I've just bought a 'proper' evening dress for a black tie charity do this weekend. I had no idea where to look, then happened upon this site http://www.urdress.co.uk/wedding-apparel/mother-of-the-bride-dresses.html They seemed to get good feedback and offered a money back guarantee. I was guessing the manufacturing was overseas, even though the site was British (I was right). Ordered my chosen frock, luckily I was a standard size though they will make to any measurements, I specified hem length and sat back to wait..... Almost exactly 6 weeks later a package arrived by post. I have to say, I received a really beautiful dress; well made, boned bodice and fully lined. For under £100. Have a look, admittedly there are some horrendous frocks there but some very classic items, too.0
