I think it depends on your shape, style, as well as your budget. I had a quick look at the Debenhams link and personally wouldn't be seen dead in any of them! When DD1 got married I had a peach outfit from Ghost, which was long and very pale. Again, it depends on what style you like.0

Somewhere like John Lewis maybe? They have concessions from most big high street labels like Hobbs, Planet, Coast etc.
That debenhams link is frump central! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

God I must be frumpy then, because I actually liked some of the Coast dresses on the site. And as 60's dress' are all the range this year, this Phase Eight dress is very in at the moment.

Ps I'm actually not even really old enough to be a MotB. Maybe you are just trying too hard.0

I would book up the personal shopper at John Lewis and get her to dress you.0

Look at Ebay for Jacques Vert - the ultimate mother of the bride shop.
Most of their stuff is at about a 75% reduction from list by the time it hits Ebay and it's only been worn once (by another mother of the bride!)
Alternatively, Jacques Vert sale is your very best friend."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0

My mum got a designer outfit on ebay. silk dress and matching jacket. it was just under a hundred rather than hundreds there is a whole section on there http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Mother-of-the-Bride-/131474/i.html motb is sometimes in the title of outfits in the main section as well.
If you choose from a business seller you can always return it as well.0
