Should the bank be charging interest if they've withdrawn the credit facility?

I was previously on a payment plan with a credit card, and paying no interest. They said that once I had cleared the arrears on the card, I would be able to use the card as normal, and the payment plan would be removed. I cleared the arrears and they have since started charging interest. My statement now has no mention of a payment plan, and shows my credit limit and available balance etc, however my credit facility remains withdrawn. I contacted the bank to query this and they say I am still on a payment plan. I queried why I am being charged interest if I'm still on a payment plan, and why the note of the payment plan no longer shows on my statement, but they claim they are within their rights to charge interest, despite them withdrawing the credit facility when my account is totally up to date. Are they within their rights to do this?

My understanding is that any payment plan and/or frozen interest is a gesture of goodwill that can be withdrawn at any time, not an obligation.
Why do you believe that you have a right not to pay any interest while all customers do pay it on their balances?

Re the credit facility, it can be withdrawn at any time. This doesn't stop the interest being charged. It just can't be increased and you can't spend more.0
