why you want to know?
You have already said I'm not community minded, then ask for my dooyoo name, that sounds like a threat to me, you need to wise up a bit and see dooyoo for what it is, it's a site that makes money on ads that people clink on when they come to read a review, it's not there to provide you or me with a way to make friends.
Amazon has a similar system where people write reviews and other people comment on them, no one there suggests you have to read other reviews or be labeled unfriendly or not cummuity minded if you don't, I speak how it is and if you do not like that, then fair enough but don't go accusing me when I suggest a way of playing the game that is in the rules.0 -
How is it a threat?? I was actually going to read a few of your reviews as I AM community minded but hey ho.................you do things your way and I'll do them mine.

Good luck
yeah right of course you were, you accuse me of not being community minded, do not answer any of the points I make, then post one line saying what is your name...great attempt there at forming this community. Then add a big grin smilie, not very subtle are you.0 -
Erm, less of the arguing please. Completely pointless and gives people the wrong impression of dooyoo members.0

Dooyoo is not a cult, why do we need to act different to how we normally are?0 -
Yeah i got it now, kitty explained it above...I'm still not convinced you earn more, you may earn more per review but if you are only doing one review a day then you are limiting your earning power, yes the earn per review goes down but you will still earn more by doing more reviews than one imo
If I were to do 5 a day as 5 is the max allowed for new member, if all 5 are level 1, that's 600 miles per review wrote, plus any reads they may get, what does it matter if the total number of reads are spread between one review or all 5? to earn 600 miles I would need 30 people to read my review, If I'm lucky 30 may read one review, noway will 30 read each review (maybe for members that have been there ages), so yeas my first review makes more money but I still get 600 miles for the other 4 reviews, so what does it matter if the first one earms £1.50 and the rest only 60p, that's still 4x60p I would not have made.
I get Kitty's point you can use your time more wisely to make more money, I was just having a problem understanding when people said one review earns you more money, without qualifying what they meant.
Anyway, I've been reading and it seems a not very good way to earn the most from the site, is not just writing your 5 reviews a day, not bothering with reading other reviews to try and get some to read yours, better better method? I have wrote 3 reviews in a day and a half, earned 1950 miles, if I had wrote 5 reviews my first day I would have earned at least that or likely more if they were all level one, and I would not have to have read 30 odd reviews to try and get traffic to my reviews.
btw 2 were 600 reviews 1 was 100 miles review, if I had wrote 5 level 1 reviews I would have earned 600x5=3000 miles and wouldn't have had to read any reviews.
You'd make more per publication of doing lots of reviews per day, but less on reads. Also like Katykicker says, you'd burn out very quickly as regards stuff to write about. However, despite what I say, there are a few people who do find that writing more than one review per day works for them, so it might for you too?:beer:0 -

tbh I am just trying to just my head around it, thinking out loud, find a good way of working on the site.
I heard the "more from one review" before and couldn't understand how that is possible, but now I understand it's not as straight forward as that, but more to do with not upsetting anyone by kicking their review of the new review list.
I will post one review a day and see how I go, I just find it hard keeping track of those people I need to return a read to, so was thinking why not just write reviews and keep it simple, it's allowed so I don't know why some people think I have suggested something so terrible, after all the site is there for reviews not for me to read a product review I have no interest in.0 -

People are just trying to be helpful, that's all. It isn't obligatory to read and rate other people's reviews or return rates - it's just the site etiquette, but you will find that if you do, the chances are 99% or higher that they will return the compliments, hence increasing your earnings. At the end of the day it's entirely up to you how you use Dooyoo and conduct yourself on there.0 -
Sniggings, you seem to be VERY paranoid. Regardless of who knows your username there is nothing in the rules that states you will be banned/in trouble for not rating.
Back in 2008/2009 I tried the method of posting lots of reviews and not bothering to rate much. I made much less at the old price of 50p for all reviews, than I do now per review.
Personally I prefer to spend more profitable time elsewhere and if I have a lull in work to fill my online time I will post a review, most of my ratings come from people returning rates I've given to them and I rarely look at the new reviews list. I don't think many people care much about their reviews falling off that list either as there is the circle of friends and other methods to allow people to return rates of their friends/those whose reviews they enjoy.
If you want to churn reviews and not rate people then that is your prerogative. I would say to make sure that all of your reviews are well above the 150 word minimum standard as some members will happily report you for not meeting the minimum guidelines when they see that you're not trying to be involved in the community aspect of things.
With regards to keeping track of who to return rates to there is a page in the My account section called 'Who rated my reviews?', you can just go there and see the people, return their rates or whatever you want to do and remember the name of the last person, or just start again fresh each time you go online working from the bottom of the list up, or the top of the list down, whatever works for you.
Dooyoo have a strong community, albeit small, and many members rate one another to allow all of us to earn some money, rather than being selfish and non-community spirited. I personally have tried it both ways, based on my needs at the time, and I prefer to be community minded, help others and earn a few £'s myself in the process.
From time to time people come along with the same view as you, they never last long, as is evident from looking at the community statistics of the members who've posted the most reviews of all time, rated the most reviews of all time and made the most comments on reviews. You'll see many of the same names at the tops of each of those boards, just proving that ultimately, over the time people spend on Dooyoo, those that put the effort in to the site fare better overall. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
