I've just had to take my OH back to the hospital as he has an infection in his sinuses and they're sending him for an emergency CT scan. Just waiting for an update now. I can't stay with him because the boys are ill here.

We have been having trouble with our sky reception, and DS2 checked the dish and found a birds nest being built on the bracket,
We've had that as well - it seems that doves especially, like to build their nest on satellite dish bracketsEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hello eveybody. Spent the weekend in Glasgow but now back home although we seem to have brought the blizzards alternating with brilliant sunshine with us..... It's freezing too. Not much to report really. Were meant to be going out for a meal yesterday for Mother's Day but it had been booked for 4 pm and we had a 4 hour drive ahead so Mr Rage declined as you don't want to be getting home at nearly midnight.......Got my HMRC letter re the £100 late payment fee they reckon I owe - despite my having a "submission completed" reference from 18 Jan so appeal pending on that. Letter finally got from hospital re my meds - not faxed to GPs but just CC'd to them. Basically I need to TRIPLE my dose but need bloods beforehand. Given they said I should be on these for 3 months before another IVF go that means June at the earliest..... no wonder my IVF docs in London are not happy..... I just feel numb over the whole thing.... It's like the cosmos/God/Whatever just does not want us to havea family..... On a plus note I have made a menu plan for the rest of the week - although we spent nearly £55 on Saturday as we said we would cook a meal for the family and we had to buy everything - even down to onions...... that said we got ALL the fresh food/salad stuff back we didn't use apart from the chicken - they kept the uneaten crisps and dips etc LOL As Mr Rage said it's not like his family are conforming to a stereotype or anything :rotfl:We also took a lasagne up for Friday evening - which had never graced the table at MILs before.......At least we should be able to live on the cupboard this week and I can have a rest from panic attacks etc. Hope everyone has a nice day!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

I wasn't going to post today, as I'm not in a terribly good place just now. Don't worry, I'll get through it, I just could do without the stress of trying to compose a coherent post when I can barely compose a coherent thought!
However, I just nipped in to place a huge pile of healing vibes and GWS wishes - plenty for all, help yourselves and distribute to loved ones, including furry loved ones, as needed.
Normal service will resume... eventually. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all,
Up early due to sneezing and eyes streaming, can't belive I have another cold.
Bed stripped and remade, bedding drying around the house. DH is lunching on leftover sos rolls and quiche brought back from DGD's party.
Lots of chicken leftover from last nights dinner and some cooked ham so I'll make a Cabannara for tonight. We have some of DGD's b/day cake so that will do for afters.
I need to do more searching for flights to Vancouver, DH's brother lives there. I promised DH a holiday it's a birthday pressie from me.
DD2 has just phoned to ask if DGD2 can come to us and sleep over, DGD2 has been asking none stop to see us so DH has gone to pick her up.
Must get on and get finger paints, puzzles and playdoh out ready to have some fun.
Keep warm and safe.0 -
Chicken is roasting, have cooked a batch of HM sos rolls, made a dish of stuffing, cleared out 3 kitchen cupboards, cleaned all worktops, cupboard and drawer fronts and the hob, and bleached and scrubbed the entire bathroom including the ceiling and walls. My bedding having a heat in the tumble drier then will go on the airer and radiators, so bed to be remade. I am knacked, and all I can smell is bleach, will steam clean the fridge tomorrow, that's enough cleaning nonsense for today, any more of this and I'll be rejoining the flyladies!!!
LW, virtual gentle hug, and Halight, thought you were going to the docs last week?????????:cool:RIP Iain

Just did some Googling and it seems Old Lob was the farmer and Dobbin was the horse. I'll be thinking of them all day now.:)
Oh, I remember now. If I had thought of the horses name I would have remembered that the farmer was Old Lob! I am going back 46 years so not bad!
Afternoon All
Hugs to all the poorlies and fed ups - LW we'll still be here when you're feeling more human.
It was very cold this morning, the car took forever to defrost, it has been lovely and sunny most of the day but freezing all the same.
Not much OS going on here, not in the mood! Will put the washing on the airers and have a hoover round but not much else. Salmon stir fry for tea so that will be quick and easy.
Take care. XX0 -
