they also sell 'stayfresh bags' these are plalstic bags that you can put fruit and veg in and then put in your fridge. ive had a lettuce and some grapes i bought 2 weeks ago and they are as fresh as the day i bought them, they are absolutley brilliant and cost couple of quid for 12 medium sized bags rush out and get them!!! ;D i used to waste so much fruit and veg cos it jus went off

I am just waiting for a juicer to arrive that I got from Ebay at less than half price in the shops. Can anyone suggest any nice juice combinations of fruit that I can do with it please?

    Hi brindles :)

We've got an older thread on this so I've added your post onto the end here. You'll need to read from the beginning to catch up with all the recipes.

  • Hi All,

I have one. Having read the jason someone book, it says it'e better to eat your fruit and juice your veg.

When you juice veg, the rule is 25% carrot, 25% apple (known as crapple) and then 50% of the veg you chose.

I like to have the above with beetroot, it's not bad really.

Word of advice (from my book) if you juice garlic, place it inside another fruit / veg so that it doesn't make the machine stink.

 OK, that is the machine sorted, but what about us? Garlic juice is meant to be really healthy, I did try it... once icon11.gif

the 25% carrot and 25% apple advice greenwellies gave really does work, most vegetable juices are palatable if you do this. Juice everything seperately then combine to taste.

My fav is 50% apple 35% red cabbage and 15% fennel Yummmy icon10.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Here is the Juicemaster Website. Not too much on it though. Have the book and there are a lot of good recipes on it. One I do a lot is just carrot and orange.
