    Happy update time.

We moved house, late on Sunday. The new place is beautiful, the same price as the old, and we are all feeling so much happier and more comfortable living here. My room is now looking like home.

I asked our landlord why he'd let the bullying homeowner push us out, and he said that while we had every legal right to sit tight while he took it through the courts, it would be slow progress and it was the easier option to find a new house and move us. Especially since the old house had been a bad investment and had cost them so much in repairs, they felt they wanted rid of it. Plus when the homeowner's harassment escalated and she got the key, they decided moving us for our own safety was the best plan.

Anyway, it has ended well. We have a much nicer house, landlord is still going to take old homeowner to court, and the owner of this house lives over the road with his two sons. They helped us move in and they seem very nice people.

The job. I asked my agency consultant whether it would be okay to ask for feedback. She said she would ask as my consultant as she was interested herself and it would look better coming from her, I said it was a good idea as she wasn't emotionally involved so could be more neutral about it. So she asked, and the answer she got was that the manager felt I was too timid. News to me. I can be quiet but was always chatty and friendly with visitors and they seemed to like me. The consultant said that it sounded like a non-answer and the company had been happy enough to have me as a temp all this time (and wanted to continue hiring me as cover), and best to just accept this job wasn't the one for me.

So yes, I'm getting over it well. I figure that I and the company just aren't the right fit, I'd get stressed trying to pretend to be something I wasn't all day every day. I know it isn't anything I've done wrong - I have done reception work at other companies and always been hired back, in this case this company wants a different personality type and that's something I can't give.

And besides, it's not like this is my dream job anyway (it was pretty dull, unchallenging and I would have been bored a lot of the time I think!)

I'm unemployed and signing on right now and I am looking into whether I can do an accounts/payroll course at the college. A lot of jobs I'm seeing now want some knowledge of this, Sage 50 especially. So it will open up more job possibilities, look good on my CV that I am in night school, and I'll get to meet new people at class. (My counsellor is very big on encouraging clients into adult learning, it was she who gave me the prospectus.)

Unfortunately my stolen violin is still missing. I know the old homeowners took it, they've told me and my landlord that they've had it, but it's proving it that is the problem, and without that the police can't help.
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.
