Pay as you go & 0845 etc numbers

Hi All - long time reader first time poster.

I've done a search for this on the forums but still not sure if what I'm looking for has been addressed.

I'm currently on 3 mobile on pay as you go, which i find great and only spend about £15 every 3 months. I never use internet outside the house (unless on free wireless) and rarely call (always texting or whatsapp-ing).

I am now in the process of moving house and job and seem to be having to call and endless list of 0845 etc numbers, which is costing a fortune.

Is there a cheap sim only deal (12 month contract at most, preferably pay month to month) that would include some minutes to 0845's etc in the plan (or as a bolt on)?

I'd be happy to pay maybe £15 a month for the deal.

Cheers

I think there are cheaper ways, but one of the simplest ways is to use http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php and their 020 access number. It will cost you 3p/min on the top of what you pay to call landline numbers.

They have also 0808 access number that is free to call if you get a giffgaff sim:

    Do you have a smartphone?

If so just get the app WEQ4U. It converts 08 numbers into regular numbers plus it has the facility of allowing you to queue without using up minutes.

Consider also getting an Ovivo sim. PAYG but with 150 minutes 150 texts and 400mb free each month.

Much better than the cost and stress of having a contract.

WeQ4U only works if there is an alternative number on their system (many don't have one), Ovivo charge 12p per minute for 084x numbers.

This may be true but it has worked every time I've used it so the instances of it not having the number must be fairly rare.

I must be unlucky, 3 out of 4 numbers when I tried it didn't have alternatives.

What's sainsburys got to do with 0845 numbers?

3 charges 1p a minute and been about a lot longer that sainsburys :)

However, '3' charge "up to 35p per call plus 35p per minute" for calls to 08 numbers.
