What are the stores that you do have within an easy distance from where you are?
My first thoughts were Primark, Internationale, local market, charity shop, Dorothy Perkins (almost always have a sale rail - so you might be lucky), George at ASDA, F & F at tesco.0 -

The only shops i have near me (or on route to where i will be working) are:
Tesco
2 charity shops.

what town are you in and what size are you, maybe someone who reads this might have a pair they no longer need (or like me have clothes that are too tight now) xxxI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Or could you borrow some from a friend?0 -
Barneysmom,
I am a size 14, but don't really want to post what town i am from. I live in such a small area, it'd be a dead give away!
I think i will have to up my budget to £10 instead of £5, or look at the Tesco £6 ones to be delivered for free.0 -

I dont have anyone who is the same size as me unfortunately.
Although i do have a friend who uses her catologue a lot...maybe i could ask her if she could order some for me?0 -
I am still wearing a pair of Tesco £5 black work trousers at least two or three times a week, that I bought about four years ago! They have been washed hundreds of times and are still going strong. I never normally buy supermarket clothes and bought these in an emergency, but I can't recommend them enough!0

These have been a godsend, due to my job, I need cheap trousers, but buy several a year. The only moan I have is that the hems get caught very easily and unravel, so you need to stitch them up.

Sorry, the bit in brackets towards the end seems to go wonky on this site, looks fine in an edit, but not once posted. Maybe copy and paste the whole lot.0
