Hi everyone.....hope you've all had a nice Sunday. For Mother's Day eldest DD bought me a big jar of jelly beans, which are my favourite sweets, and made me a card with a stick man on the front holding a red heart! Apparently it was Damon from Vampire Diaries.....and it was complete with a strange poem.....well, she is 16! Youngest DD bought me a bunch of daffodils and a Chinese banquet from M and S, which she's busy cooking.

Coffee with my dad this morning and then I went to visit my granny with her mum.....she's not very well and they think she hasn't long left....she's 95.

Was my dad's 78th birthday yesterday so we all went for tea....8 of us altogether. Stayed till about 9 by which time he was worn out with all the chatter. He did tell eldest DD he needs a great grandchild before he dies.....to which she replied that he'd better stick around for a long time......' I'm like 16 grandad.....'!

    Oh.teas ready....better go....

    Halight & Molly41 you are both awful!:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, have had a lovely day at Ashford Outlet. Bought my DD a new Fiorelli handbag for her birthday (November!) £55, down to £16. Myself a weekend/hand luggage bag £85 down to £25:eek:

Loads of clearance bits in TK Maxx for my present box, and some Yankee candle bargains for friends. So I am happy now!

    Afternoon all,

Mmm jelly beans DP1 my favourite:D

Just back from Yorkshire and lots of snow over the tops. Not much here though other than a few flakes, but bitterly cold. Managed to sort mum and dads telly out until the Sky engineer comes on Tuesday. We did bring home half an apple pie, which was delish.
Ds3 made a gorgeous, spag Bol. Better than mine, so I've told him he can have that job from now on;)
Just a bit of washing to put away and then pjs and my book. Also want to watch Shetland tonight.
Have a good evening all x

I've had a wonderful day as the b/day party for DGD went so well and I got to see both DDs and 2 out of 3 GDs the 1first GD is at Uni so she
couldn't make it down to SNOWY Somerset, yup it's snowing here !!

I made loads of food for the party and there was little left over, I was complemented on the ham sarnies. One parent asked where I bought the packets of ham !! I told her I bought a joint and cooked/ sliced it myself. She couldn't understand why I would do that when it's so much quicker to buy it in plastic packs. I felt like saying " the proof is in the pudding" ... but didn't.
Sos rolls disapeared as fast as H. Potter in a cloak, I made the pastry and did my own sos mix filling, thanks to my meat grinder I used some ys pork joints.
DH has full roast chicken dinner tonight and I have chicken and Corn on the cob.
All window shutters shut, all doors locked so we're ready to settle down and chillax.
JUDI, It's always a hard day for me too, I wish we could have a card from our Son. Thinking of you and hoping life gets easier as the years go by. Heartfelt ((hugs)) to you. xx

I remember that but I thought the horse was called 'Old Lob'!

    Evening All

Busy weekend here, my cousin and her OH were here, we went to the Wales/Scotland rugby match yesterday at Murrayfield, had a fab day except Scotland lost! Went for a meal after the match and got home about half 9. Very exhausted and went to bed about 10!

We went for a drive to show them some stunning scenery around here and then the snow came down, horrid blizzardy snow so they went home about half 2 in case it got worse. It did here but I don't know how they are getting on, He drives very slowly and carefully and it took them 9 1/2 hours to get here from Llandudno so heaven alone knows what time they will get home!!

I have cleaned the bathroom and stripped their bed, the rest isn't too bad, had the washing out earlier which nearly dried but an hour on the airers has got it dry.

Hope you've all had a good day, Mothers spoiled and gents (Headlight) had a good Sunday too.

    Take care. XX

You can't help some people. I hate pre packaged ham, there's always a faint vomit like smell as it opens, and the ham is always slimy.

OMG, Tenyearstogo  now I know what that packet smell was. Just had a flash back.
We went to lunch with friends ages ago, we would never go back to eat. The ham salad lunch was plastic, as DH said and I thought the same.
And I agree it's slimy, not natural at all.
    Reformed Carp.
G00gle why they had to change the name to KF*. they are not alowed to use the word Ch1cken.

p.s. I've just been educated about KFc, again OMG :eek:
I've never wanted to eat that but DGD 2 has a treat once a month...... Never ever again.:eek:
