On the part where it says 'Download drivers' - download the relevent drivers for your soundcard.
Also - make sure - you didn't plug your speakers into the wrong port. Green IIRC????
there are no drivers listed for the speakers only the mouse
I have also checked, and yes, the jack is in the green portTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

Also it you double click on the 3d speaker above the volume slider. Device Usage should be enabled as below

Which make and model motherboard do you have? It might even say on the CD, but this information can be found using Speccy.0

thanks for spending time copying and pasting. The probelm here is I dont think my desk top can even register the speakers. when i double click on the speaker icon, windows kicks in with a search of audio outputTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
As poppellerant said, knowledge of your hardware would be helpful.
You have the windows 7 cd? go into control panel, systems and security, device manager. I would uninstall the following:
under audio inputs uninstall speakers
under sound, video game controller, uninstall Realtech High Def.... (yours may be different)
You could try the scan for hardware changes first? Then reboot. The system with luck should detect and add back the newly found driverless components.0 -
what is the make and model number of pc ? if it is a custom made pc then you will need to look inside it on motherboard to find a model number on it so we can help you find the correct driver for it.
Windows will sometimes install a standard audio driver then show it as working correctly when it is not.0
