hello all,
my desktop recently had a new hard drive fitted and windows 7 was also loaded on.
I have managed to do all the drives for the cam and printer. I can even access files from my external harddrive, however, even though I have fitted the speakers to the desk top I have no sound through my speakers. I can play any music at all.
In the bottom taskbar I have a red cross next to the speaker icon. When I "hover" over the icon i get "no audio output device is enabled"
has anyone got any ideas????

You will probably need to load the latest drivers for your sound card.0

Are the speakers USB or connected through the standard audio socket?0

Possible that Windows doesn't have the driver available automatically? Try going to Start then type 'device manager'. Open the device manager and under 'sound, video & game controllers' is there a warning triangle? If an audio device is listed, right click on it, and enable it if it gives you the option, or select update device software and let Windows search ?
NB You're not looking for specific drivers for your speakers, but for drivers for the sound card inside your PC0 -

BTW, did you get a separate 'motherboard drivers and utilities' disc with the PC - the sound driver should be on there?0
