I agree, but the person expecting a nice meal after working all day, is sitting on his arris, while another person just finished a 10 hour shift is dashing around the kitchen to prepare a taste sensation (lol) and then he turns his nose up at the grub. I say it is up to the chef what they are cooking - If i come in knackered after a 10 hour day followed by an hour in the gym and he damanded a roast dinner for example, I would tell him to do one!

Another tactic that worked with my daughter, when she was in an "I don't like it", "How do you know, you've never had it before?" phase, was, when she asked for, say, the latest breakfast cereal, to say, "No. You haven't had it before, so you won't like it".

Bung a jacket spud in for him. It might make him feel like he's won but it's no real effort and if you nuke it first wont cost any more in fuel/
