Default from T Mobile
Options
I have been with T Mobile for around four years now, and last year renewed my contract with them.
I was looking at my credit report recently and I noticed that there is a default from them.
I have written to them to request more information, and got a letter back saying that the default is correct as I owe them £225
The default is from 2010, I have not received any letters from them with regards to this outstanding amount. There is no way I would ignore an amount like that.
I really don't know what to do, I don't want this default on my account, and I question why I haven't received any letters from them.

Well, asking for advice as maybe someone would have been in my position0

You don't appear to be disputing the amount which means your task will be an uphill one. They don't need to send you letters, as your financial dealings are automatically updated every month, where it starts as 1 month overdue etc then to a default.
Mitigating circumstances are important - did you give them a DD that they did not collect? If so, they share some (but not all) of the blame. Ask the network for an explanation, put your side and hope for the best.0 -
I don't think I owe them that that amount at all, if I had received any letters from them for that amount, I would've gotten in contact with them, I really don't know where they get that amount from.
Right so you do owe them something and you know you owe them something just not this amount, is that right?
Can you not check your online statement? If you are still with them I just cannot understand how you would not know anything?0
