DS and DD are poles apart, DS used to tell me everything, DD tells me nothing. You wouldn't believe some of the stunts she's pulled over the years, although she's calmed down now thankfully. She's lucky that I would never see her out of somewhere to live because some less tolerant people would've thrown her out years ago. The worst thing she did was take DS's debit card and use it to book a flight to Turkey one Christmas. DS was devastated as it left him without any money over Christmas and we had to bail him out. He reported as fraud it but bottled out in the end when it got serious, he couldn't do it to her. We made her pay him back and she walked out saying she was never coming back but returned the next day. This was then she was going through her obsession with Turkish men period.
Anyway back to present day, have counted the secret stash pot when Mr SA was shaving in the bathroom (and couldn't hear the chink of money) and I've got £17.33The upside of not going anywhere I suppose.
Feels really strange going back to work tomorrow but need to get back to normal now. Just finishing the last bit of wine then I'm alcohol free until Friday.

Hi Sun Addict
I am always amazed at the mountains you overcome with little or no support. You are truly a role model.
Your idea of a slush fund is marvellous. In fact I think it should have a proper category in your budget as well. You need your escapes.
If I had been you, I think I might have verbally slapped her after her comments about Christmas. Dare I ask how old she is? It seems everyone expects you to do it all and keep sorting things for them.
Take care honey

You are a strong strong woman & cope like the trouper that you are.
DD would not still be living with me.
I put up with a lot & then I loose it.

Pauline she'll be 31 next Friday. She also declared New Year's Eve boring when she finally emerged from her pit.
Beanie I'm a pushover I need to be tougher.
DS always tells me off for putting up with her and I love it when he gets onto DD about how lucky she is.
She was such a lovely little girl until she hit 12 then the hormones were unleashed.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Re DD - one thought struck me about the mystery man. You basically don’t know who he is or anything about him but DD is letting him in your house. I think you are quite within your rights to ask to meet him. She may be giving you keep but the house still belongs to you and Mr SA and your rules apply!
But here’s a big whoop for your ‘ME’ fund which I think you richly deserve. It’s nice to get out and about on your own - I’m thinking of doing it more - I used to go to exhibitions after work on my own a few years ago but it petered out - started getting tired - need to resurrect it!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I had an Indian man phase that lead to some huge lies (no using of other people's debit cards tho - I was just always staying over or out late with my best friend.......

Happy New Year! Sun.A - may 2018 be good to you - and perhaps the year DD moves out?
..Am amazed at your patience; if any of my offspring had been so reluctant to spread their wings I'd have found them a flat or starter-home long before their 31st birthday!
