Had a lovely lunch with friends plus potter round town before and after. Didn't spend my vouchers. Cheque for carers assessment arrived today, going to save it for winter coat and boots. It's meant to be for a spa break but can you imagine Mr SA letting me do that!

If the weather's good this weekend we'll do the garden, if not we'll paint the doors as the painter let us down, his car broke down and he can't get until 24 August when we'll be away, so we'll have to do it ourselves.

Have had a busy day today, despite still having a sore throat and aching. Bought a wall sticker for the bathroom and put that up, was a bit of an ordeal and involved me having to go out and buy some silver nail varnish to patch it up - don't ask!!!! Looks ok now if slightly skew whiff :)

Mr SA has spent most of the day staggering about and falling into things :(

Tonight we have a bottle of champagne to celebrate the buildings works being finally finished :)

  • SA, I got there I have finally caught up with your diary. All I can say is WOW what a roller coaster! You have been through so much and what you have to deal with on a daily basis I cannot imagine, you are truly a remarkable, strong and inspirational lady.

I will admit to crying at times (your poor ankle) and laughing uncontrollably (number plate for scooter).
Enjoy your champagne and brand sparkly new kitchen and bathroom, if any one deserves them you do.

Aw thanks Pennywise xx Well done for reading my diary all the way through. Sometimes I think you couldn't make it up!!

This afternoon on journey to shops for silver nail varnish, went over on bad ankle, the pain was awful :( Quite disappointed that this still happens, thought the plates and screws would stop this.

This time next week I'll have broken up from work for holiday :)
