Broke the news to him. He kicked off, as expected. Threatened to make himself ill, said it was a dry run for me leaving him, said I was abandoning him, etc. Told him to put his big boy pants on and deal with it, it's not a jolly, I'll be working hard, then waved my ankle at him and reminded him he survived for 2 nights when he put me in hospital. Once he realised it was non negotiable he got over it. He's being ok about it now, not sure what it'll be like Monday night though. I catch the 08.05 train Tuesday and return on the 16.15 on Thursday.

Secretly looking forward to it. The bliss of having a hotel room all to myself for 2 nights :)

Walked to work today - 3 miles. Ankle badly swollen though. Perhaps too soon. Bit disappointed. It was such a lovely morning and I thought I'd give it a go.

Only spend today £5.50 on a toilet seat for DGD as she's out of nappies now. Need one to keep for her visits.

Tomorrow got hairdressers then DS coming with the grandkids.

You will laugh at this - there are 10 of us going to the meeting and one of them is planning evening meal, said is 8pm too early. All I'm thinking is I'm usually in bed at 9pm!! That said, I won't have to get up at 5am like I usually do.

Ankle is up resting on top of dog who won't move.

    Happy Saturday everyone :)

Hairdressers this morning then Mr SA phoned asking if we could go for lunch at local pub, so we did. Not planned but it was nice. Bad news as hairdressers is closing down :( One more appointment then that's it. Been going there 17 years. Won't find another one as cheap as them.

By the time we got home DS and family were already there. The baby is walking now, he's 1 at the end of the month. He was all over the place and we had to keep stopping him from climbing up the stairs. Mr SA was trying to get sympathy for being "abandoned" next week. DD reminded him she'll be there and they started planning pizza deliveries. To be honest I'd be quite scared if I thought DD was looking after me.

I think he's sort of got over it now and has even been cracking jokes about it. I've made sure he knows I won't be made to wear a hair shirt over it.

That said, he's just been in the kitchen for a beer as he's "fed up".

Ankle is a lot better, walked to hairdressers and back, then after DS went home walked the dog round the block, bit swollen now but not as much as yesterday.

Oh no to the hairdressers, not only is your current one a decent price by the sound of it but if you're anything like me you get used to who cuts/colours your hair.

Laughing at your comment about you being scared if DD was looking after you :rotfl:

If I don't 'see' you beforehand, have a good trip xx

Glad to hear MrSA has accepted your trip away next week, Sun.A. Dad and Daughter bonding sessions over pizza and beer - they'll be fine! :D
Hope you have a good time [in between the work sessions]. :)

MR SA sulking today, his own fault, he was saying some stupid pointless things and I had to tell him a few home truths. He doesn't like hearing negative things about himself that are true, never has done. There have been more threats of making himself ill and a threat of going on a spending spree with the cc. Told him how childish he was being.

That aside I've done loads of washing, weather great for drying, sunny and windy. Bag is partly packed for Tuesday, can't believe how much stuff I've got to take for just 2 nights!

Today was going to be a NSD, Mr SA took dog out on scooter, I was checking cc app when a £4.49 spend in Savers appeared literally as I was checking it. Yes Mr SA had just been in there!
