Looking for the silver lining

Had a lovely evening with the team - well hour and a bit. SA the party pooper had to go home while the others carried on. Mr SA started ringing me to see where I was and he was waiting for me at the bus stop. I feel like I have no freedom whatsoever, it's just work then back home for me. Anyway another low spend day of £1.25 as the others bought bottles of wine to share.
Went back to WW yesterday. My usual class is on a Thursday but there's no way my ankle will let me go out again after a day at work so decided to go to the Saturday one. It confirmed that I've only gone 2lbs over my goal weight, which isn't bad at all considering I'm not doing all that exercise I used to. Spent £26 on a cookbook, eating out guide, shopping guide and journal plus some choc bars! After walking there I had to stay for the talk so I could rest my ankle. Then I got chatting to a woman who lives down the road from me and she kindly gave me a lift home. She's offered to give me a lift to WW every week, she only lives a few doors away. So I'd been out just over an hour. Mr SA was sulking when I got home because I'd been somewhere without him - again how dare I!!!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Great news about only 2lbs on and the lift to/from WW. Not so good about Mr SA keeping you hostage
. Shame you aren't up to going out and about even more!! Xx
Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
Thanks Lucky - had to stop posting then as he'd just appeared and was trying to look at what I was doing. He's gone out with the dog now so am safe for a bit.
Anyway so far today I've done the finances and everything is ok. CC has been paid up. Rejigged budget as will be paying out for a mortgage again next month
I've decided to keep a track of what I save each month as I feel I don't save anything much but in reality I probably save more than I think. So far in March I've put £10 in my ISA and £13.88 in my VSP. So total £23.88 this week. I have a regular saver account which takes out £50 a month by standing order but this goes out at the end of the month. I'm consciously trying to save a lot more, we have a monthly spending pot and as we're not able to go anywhere at the moment this isn't all being spent, so it's likely there could be at least £50 left to go to the ISA. Will know more next week.
March so far:
2 LSDs - aiming for as many as possible
0 AFDs - aiming for 12
0 NSDs - aiming for 8
Savings £23.88
Weight loss 0/5
Weight-wise, although I'm only 2lbs over goal I'd like to lose 5lbs before holiday.
Just started raining here.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad you enjoyed the hour you had out SA, hopefully as your ankle gets better and better you will be out and about more.
Well done on your savings for this week, thats fab xxMummytogirls x0 -
Was very nearly a NSD until about 10 minutes ago when I bought some luggage organiser bags from Groupon. Hopefully they're as good as they look in the photo and will help me pack better rather than just randomly throwing stuff in the case. Seemed daft to wait until tomorrow just to claim a NSD.
Made some roast veg soup for work lunches, done next week's meal plan and sorted out my holiday toiletries. It was 30 degrees in Lanzarote yesterday! Still need to prepare tonight's dinner (roast chicken, potatoes and veg for Mr SA and salmon, potatoes and veg for me), do the ironing, get my work clothes out for the week, go in the gym and have a bath. Better get a move on!
Going for a routine mammogram tomorrowI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
