Looking for the silver lining

Lucky, could Mr Lucky work safely at raised beds? Before I moved I had four in which I grew potatoes (successfully), and other vegetables (unsuccessfully, I have black thumbs). The soil was contained in heavy duty plastic bags (like builders rubble bags) with wicker surrounds for aesthetics. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Thanks all, funnily enough we used to grow our own veg until Mr SA got ill. Thought about it this year actually but he wasn't that keen. Worth keeping in mind though. There's certainly plenty of room!
Just when things seemed to be calming down at work the rubbish manager has gone off on one today, shouting and being stroppy because things aren't going her way. I'm going to ask her manager to have a word with her because the way she speaks to us is appalling. She can be quite intimidating. Fortunately we know she'll be looking to move on after Christmas, so just a case of biding our time and biting our tongues. Everything else is fine, it's just her.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hello all
Mr SA left his phone in his carer's car today. His iPhone is broke awaiting repair and this is his old phone. I despair of him. He has no sense of looking after things or their value. Watched the BBC3 programme last night about people with brain damage which was very interesting. Could definitely see some similarities with them and Mr SA although none of them had been affected by a brain tumour.
Work was ok today as rubbish manager has been keeping a low profile after kicking off about nothing yesterday.
After sweating to death recently in a 15 tog duvet, caved in and bought a 4.5 one today. So that's why the weather has turned cooler, you can blame it on me!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Oh and the bad news is DS failed his driving test today - first attempt. Something to do with holding up traffic on a dual carriageway. He's putting in for another one as soon as.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Sorry to hear about DS' failed driving test. I didn't pass mine first time either
.
Know what you mean about Mr SA losing things. Mr Lucky is the same. He puts things down and forgets to pick them back up again!
Glad nasty boss has been back in her cage today XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

£12 from Wilko for a king size Beanie. We both slept a lot better last night.
Have ordered Mr SA a bum bag from Amazon to keep his phone, keys and wallet in when he's out and about. His "old self" wouldn't have been seen dead with a bum bag. Needs must.
The good news is Mrs Mean the Manager is on leave all next week. Woo hoo! And I break up for two weeks 5 weeks tomorrow with Ibiza 6 weeks tomorrow

Mr SA has had a fall and cut his head but is ok on the whole. Shook him up a bit though and made him feel off.
On a lighter note was sent a £10 off voucher from Pizza Hut for late delivery last time (they weren't late) so used against a £20 deal - 2 large pizzas and 2 sides. Got it for £10 and surplus is now in the freezer for future reference. If anyone is wondering, from experience, it freezes and re-cooks very well (vegi options anyway can't say for meat ones). Not very bikini-friendly but I did "pimp" mine so it had less cheese.
Note since the summer duvet purchase the weather has turned rather autumnal!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to hear about Mr SA's fall
. Was someone with him when it happened so you know for sure he wasn't knocked out?
Great deal on the pizza. Hope you are ok XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
