    Hi Sun.A, :hello:

Phew. Don't forget to give DH probiotics to counteract the side-effects of antibiotics (they play hell with the gut flora even in a normally healthy person).
Also worth looking at diet again; keep it as alkaline as possible, please..** Here's a link to a well set-out chart:
    http://alkalife.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Acid-Alkaline-Food-Chart-ph-Balance-Alkalife.pdf

Plus. Garlic, ginger, turmeric really do help protect against common lurgi, and there's plenty of evidence that turmeric inhibits tumour growth too (g00gle golden paste).

** Am almost in tears as I type; you've still got time Sun.A - it's too late for my DH, with him it went so fast.. Have learned so much since he died, because I needed to know why even the most experienced oncologists in the land hadn't a clue how to help him. In the years since, sadly many RL mates are also battling cancer; it is very striking how much better those who attack it from all angles are doing. Hindsight is purgatory; apologies for being preachy but if it leads to improving your DH's health, then I willingly take any bad karma for over-stepping the bounds of politeness.

(((Hugs))) dear Sun.A, I am so happy there was nothing more sinister causing DH's malaise.. :)
  • Phew...........i have just caught up and started getting worried for you....so glad it was nothing sinister and Mr SA is on the mend :)

Thank you all - your kind thoughts and comments are much appreciated.

Well the oral thrush has cleared up nicely but his breathlessness remains a worry. Heard nothing further about chest x-Ray so rang doctors yesterday, told receptionist doctor said hospital would ring, she said no you just turn up with blue card, so rang hospital to check, no you don't just turn up, they don't accept blue cards anymore you need referral from doctor. They checked their records and no referral from our doctor. Rang doctors back they said medical secretary would check but had just left for the day!!!!! So this morning I rang hospital lymphoma nurse, told her my concerns, told her we are due to go on holiday a week today, gave her Mr SA's name which she recognised straightaway as he is very well known there. The upshot is I'm taking him to clinic tomorrow where they will check him over, if they're worried consultant will see him Monday. Job done. Rubbish GP surgery. Of course Mr SA is worried sick but he needs to get sorted. Main concern of lymphoma nurse was his mobility having got worse in the past few weeks. So glad I rang her.

So the holiday still hangs in the balance. I won't be packing my case just yet :(

On a lighter note, I got another £20 in vouchers from work for helping a manager out and today was another no spend day due to being stuck in a meeting taking notes all day with no lunch break. Writer's cramp to say the least.

Hello all - he's had a full MOT at the clinic and thankfully he's fine. Bloods were ok, no signs of lymphoma. They don't know what's causing the breathlessness or worsening of mobility so they will bring forward his brain scan and also scan his lungs and heart. There's a possibility of chemo damage to organs but unlikely. His chest sounds clear to the doctor. So basically he's got man flu.

HUGE sigh of relief - Lanzarote here we come!!! :)
