At last Mr SA seems to be on the mend. He's been out with the carer today for a coffee. First day out since last Sunday. People at work are dropping like flies with the same symptoms, really hope I don't get it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Mr SA had the scooter people round today but the scooter they brought was a top of the range one at £35 a week!!!!!!! No way!!! On their website the prices start at £13/14 a month which is more like it.
Payday today so have now paid off holiday balance. Will update plan on Friday when I'm off work.
Had a nice lunch out with friends today but no wine as had to go back to work. Today has been another AFD. Trying to be good until Thursday night. I am so ready for this long weekend.
Submitted meter readings to Scottish Power today, I was dreading it as they've only taken one payment since I had the big rebate and we've just had winter. As expected I'm in debit to the tune of £280 but the website said good news you're still on track. Another monthly payment is due to go out tomorrow and hopefully the weather will start getting warmer so maybe they're right.
Mr SA has gone to bed as he's shattered but thankfully he is loads better. He's been looking for new shoes online and has found a pair he likes at £100!!!!! He claims men's shoes are more expensive that's why they don't have many pairs. I'd expect to get 3 pairs for £100. Needless to say I think I'll steer him into TK Maxx first.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy Easter everyone!
Quiet Easter for us as Mr SA not well again. He's really struggling with walking, out of breath all the time and the sweat is pouring off him. Took him out for a coffee yesterday but shouldn't have bothered as he's more or less been bed bound since we got back. He got some shoes he liked from TK Maxx for £24.99 not the £100 ones thankfully. I just hope he'll be ok for the holiday as only just over 2 weeks to go.
Finance wise I've got £191.94 in my VSP - pleased with that, doing better than this time last year. Most importantly my credit card is £0. Need to start building up some savings and target number 1 is to start building up my ISA. Need to move it to a higher interest one as last year's offer has finished. I've got £2539.30, £39.30 of which is interest for last year. So the first target is build it up to £3,000. As soon as I get my proper contract with work I'll go to building society and see if I can remortgage for home improvements.
Priority number 1 is still lose weight, not doing great at the moment, need to get my mojo back, but am plodding on. I'm annoyed with myself if I'm honest as this is something I can control, it's not as if I've got loads to lose.
Loving having this break from work. Getting stuff done in the house cleaning wise. Cleaned out all my kitchen cupboards this morning - I know how to liveI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
