Thank you all :) and hello to Stripes.

This will be the second time I've become debt free and this time I'm determined to stay that way. I think I will because money is limited now so I need to be extra careful. The next stage is to stick to a budget and build some savings.

Beanie your reaction made me laugh :) I totally agree though.

More snow last night which froze so pavements are like ice rinks. Dreading walking through the streets at 6am tomorrow when I'm back at work :( Only for 3 days though but still :(. Will teach me to save some leave, will try to be more organised next year.

Mr SA is just lounging about today, he can't go out because of the pavements so I am the one taking the dog out. However he has been surfing the Internet looking for a new TV as ours is playing up again. I want to keep it going as long as I can, at least until debt is paid off. He's also been looking at holidays. His next brain scan is 5 January and he goes to see his consultant on 2 February. Provided everything is ok we will then book a holiday for his 50th at the end of April. I've told him I can't book anything until he's got the all clear plus I need time to save up. I'm sure he thinks I earn mega money! It was his constant spending that got us into debt in the first place.

Can't believe I'm back at work tomorrow :(

Thinking of you in the snow... We are marooned in doors when ice comes.

Thankfully I am now in sunny Southwold

Hope tomorrow in work is lovely and quiet

Good morning all. I'm taking advantage of being sat here at work all on my own (I think the others must be slowly on their way!) and using a proper computer with a keyboard (such luxury).

Not happy to be back at work so soon after Christmas and it all feels a bit flat but the moral of the tale is to save enough leave. I've only got today and half a day tomorrow then I'm off until Monday so not too bad.

Mr SA has been housebound since Saturday due to the snow and ice. It's just too treacherous underfoot for him. He had given his carer this week off but he's coming today to take him out for a coffee, just to get him out of the house before he goes stir crazy.

I've been thinking about my plans for the New Year, sort of New Year resolutions. All along the well trodden paths of losing weight, saving, etc. After the debt is paid off my number one priority must be getting back to my WW goal weight. Daren't weigh myself at the moment, I haven't gone mad over Christmas but I've eaten more than normal and not exercised as much. I'm estimating I'll have approximately a stone to lose, hopefully not more, so it shouldn't be too hard (ha ha ha).

Better do some work people are starting to appear!
