Hello all,

Raining here this morning but dried out afterwards and has become much milder....hope its the same to-morrow as it is DGS1's confirmation and I am wearing a suit which would class mightily with any of my coats so hoping to get away without coat.

Ruby....belated happy birthday.

Beth....time you let those girls of yours look after their own children and do their own cooking a bit more....I know that you are only a youngster but it does catch....ok, so I should mind my own business, but I'm only saying.....

Get well soon to anyone else feeling under the weather.

Had a lovely afternoon visit to a work colleague....she now works mornings only as she has 3 children under 10, was nice to have the chat and catch up on ex colleagues.

Got an offer in bucher's of some top rib roast.....€5.99 kg so bought an inch and half thick 'slice' and cooked it as I saw Rick Stein do...salt and pepper, 5 mins high on each side and then cover and let sit....OH reckoned it was a bit rare but I loved it....DS2 was here for dinner and said it was 'grand' which usually means 'why are you asking?'...will have the rest as part of brunch on Sunday as rest of family will be here and they will want to be off home early.
