Seller opening a case?

I bought 2 items from a seller a couple of months ago. Sent 2 'request total' messages asking if he would combine postage but got no reply so just paid up. All fine, but left neutral feedback saying happy with item but no reply to messages and I felt the p&p was high. He was charging £1.50 each for a small item that can go in an envelope with a 1st class stamp on. I paid £3 p&p for the 1 envelope.
Seller has emailed me to ask why I left neutral feedback so I explained the above. He says he didn't receive my messages and he's going to open a case with ebay as he feels it's unfair. I'm not sure what he means. Do you think he's opening a case against me? I left truthful feedback which reflected my experience. I can understand why he's upset if he didn't receive the messages, but since I sent 2 messages through ebay surely it's only natural for me to assume he got them? I don't really think I've done anything wrong so I'm a bit upset to think he might be reporting me.

Sorry to hear about this. I'm sure there is nowt this seller can do, after all you did was be truthful in the feedback. I'd ignore any further messages from them.If you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

Report you for what? Leaving truthful feedback? Ignore him...he is a fool0

Just ignore him! He combined the items at his convenience, but didn't combine the postage, so got some fair feedback in return.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Good luck to him, he'll get nowhere.0

I'm not sure what he means - he says he didn't receive my messages and he's really sorry as he normally would reply straight away. But he also says he's going to open a case and resolve with ebay as it's unfair on both parties. So, I don't know if he's complaining that ebay didn't send him my messages, or if he's complaining about my feedback.0

I think the request total comes up as an invoce request, rather than a message, so that may explain it.0

Yes, possibly. But I did send 2 payment requests with a message asking if he would combine. I've done the same with other sellers and they've replied. I can see why he's upset - but at the same time, how was I to know he wasn't just choosing to ignore me?0

Ebay won't do anything against you, I suspect he is trying to get you to alter your feedback (is it possible to alter feedback stars left ?). Ignore his messages and don't worry about him.0 -

Sellers get these messages from ebay via their registered email address. He chose to ignore them because he wanted to make more money from you and now he has found out it has bitten him on the backside and he is cross. His fault entirely.0 -
I think he's just trying to frighten you a bit, he can't open a "case" against you. He sold two items, you bought and paid for them and you have left truthful feedback. The only thing he can do now is to contact Ebay to ask for the feedback to be removed.
Unless any of your messages stated that you wanted postage combined or else you would leave poor feedback (feedback extortion), I don't see how he has any justification for getting the feedback removed. He already knows this, which is why he is sending you messages about opening a "case" against you, he thinks it will scare you into changing your feedback.
Don't listen to all the guff about him not receiving his messages, that's hardly your problem anyway. You left truthful feedback and if he doesn't like it, maybe he should think about the issues that you have raised and see if he can improve his performance. Did you hit him on the postage and/or communications stars too?"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0
