I wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole. Ive been approached several times, I teach Zumba, metafit and various other fitness classes.
My brother is a PT and he wont go near it either. My issue is, there are people who sell it who dont have a nutrition qualification, yes theres an in house one, but anyone can sell this, you dont need to be in any way fitness minded.
I believe that the shakes are so low in calorie people will lose weight. Its not rocket science, if you have a couple of shakes at 100 cals each and then a dinner, you'll lose weight
It actually amazes me the number of people in the industry who are very well qualified who have jumped on this bandwagon and thats what it is. Oh and the fact so many people are asking others to join their team, if I buy into this, someone who introduced me will make more money. Pyramid scheme.
Its a money making scheme. For some. I have various level 2 and level 3 qualifications in fitness and Im just finishing a nutrition one and when I am finished I will offer nutrition advice to people I already teach classes to.
But it wont involve anything to do with shakes or pills. Id rather be skint that promote this rubbish and thats just my personal view on what Herbalife is, rubbish.
Same as forever living products and the like. Id rather do something I believe in even if I made less money.
What does drinking shakes and popping pills teach people about healthy eating? Nothing.0 -
I personally think people are sold on the name 'Herbalife'. Sounds like it is a healthy product to me, not that I am saying it is of course...
Sounds much like Slimfast when you think about it and everyone knows those products aren't designed to be used on a regular or long term basis. Once one stops all the weight goes back on again!0 -
I've used herbalife as a customer, the products are ok and quite tasty but VERY expensive and I just don't think it can compete in the marketplace today when there are other cheaper options.
Personally i wouldn't sell it, as it's part of a pyramid oops I mean MLM scheme, so the company makes its money from its sellers as much as its customers which to me is wrong, means you are subsidising the profits of those higher up the chain.0 -
One wonders if they will still be selling Herbalife after July 11th when the new EU regs come into force.
These require every product to be licensed. This costs between £500 - £2000 to obtain.Never Knowingly Understood.

Are you sure it applies to the direct sellers (distributors) themselves and not the companies ,do you have a link by any chance ?0 -
Heres some advice for those wanting to lose weight..and I'll give you it for the crazy price of FREE!
EAT LESS (NOT starve yourself! Find how many calories it takes for you to maintain your weight then drop 150-200calories off it)..EAT CLEAN FOODS (that means lots of veg, lots of lean meat, limit refined sugars to next to 0)..MOVE YOUR BODY (i.e get off your !!!!!)..And drink enough water!
There. No supplements, no magic pills. You've saved a fortune.0 -
I'm amazed that Barcelona [football club] are happy top be associated with these shysters.0

Do you believe in the product and their prices?
You might have a chance if you are a good sales person who can sell anything to anyone. Plus great at networking, which you expend your business by recruiting downline.
Based on my personal experience, I would say be cautious on any weight lost program. I strongly suggest you to research the brand before paying any money to buy the starter packs and stock up products.0 -

I know someone who does various health related treatments - something with lasers to get rid of fat, various other treatments, vibrating plate things, and then added Herbalife. Huge fanfare of advertising before going very quiet on the whole Herbalife arm of things."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo
