Hey All,
I need some advice / opinions.
I have signed up as a herbalife distributor after using the products to lose my baby weight.
I am a single mum of two kids and attend college part time.
I really want to know if this is too good to be true?
I purchased my licence to get a discount on my products (25%) but then my coach suggested I help others and went into this big marketing plan and discount path claiming I could make 250 - 1000 extra per month.
Even though she showed me her cheques from herbalife I am hesitant to believe her as she is a personal trainer so obviously has great connnections.
Has anyone else ever signed up or been around the company?
Any information would be fantastic

I know a guy who does do it.
I believe he is a very good sales man, particularly in opening the door, less so at closing the deal. He started doing it after falling on hard times with losing.
On the basis he isnt destitute he would appear to be making okish money but he has gone from driving a couple of year old BMW to a very old escort so not making the money he did doing B2B insurance sales.0 -
Their products are ridiculously expensive, its a wonder anyone buys them.
I looked in to it and decided against it.0 -

My understanding is that the management changed and the company is not as good as it used to be. I sit to be corrected though.
If you are really interested in MLM, Google Tom "Big Al" Schreiter and his company Vitamark. The products are OK (again not cheap), the remuneration plan is one of the better ones and if you get a supportive upline you can do well.
Be warned though, any MLM will need consistent work over a couple of years to really start making a living wage. Anyone who says it is easy is telling porkies. Simple yes, easy no.The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

All that link proves is that Herbalife is a good earner for Herbalife, not for the suckers who join up for the promised rewards of financial freedom.
The fact is that the way MLMs promote themselves is a scam - the promised rewards are not achievable for the vast majority of members.
The facts on Herbalife's site speak for themselves (http://opportunity.herbalife.com/Content/en-US/pdf/business-opportunity/StatementAverageCompensation2011EN.pdf) - I know these are US figures, but the UK ones are not provided, but I would not expect things to be much different.
Here are a few headlines from that page about the earnings of Herblife's "Sales Leaders With a Downline" in 2011 -- 30% of them didn't earn anything
- 47.5% earned less than $1,000, with the average earnings being $292
- 13.7% earned between $1,001 and $5,000, with the average earnings being $2,216
So nearly 80% of their top people earned less than $1,000 - all I can say is WOW.0 -

Herbalife can be a good money maker. But you have to be prepared to work hard and stick at it.
Like anything in life, nothing is going to be handed on a plate for you. Your reward will reflect the effort you put in. Simple.0 -
Thank you for all the views guys, I have a few clients already so I am going to give it a go. Although I will be very careful and take everything with a pinch of salt.
Thank you0
