Herbalife, as good as it sounds????????

  • All these mlm schemes are dodgy...the top people are only really selling to mugs who believe they can earn a good living by buying into it....any job/ employment that asks for payment upfront is a scam...your just subsiding that company
  • I don't understand why people can't see the facts with these things...earning an average of less than £450 A YEAR(!!) really doesn't seem worth the trouble of spending hours trying to figure out how to get a new customer or convince someone else to pay the signing up fee so you can get your bonus. You'd earn far more doing a bar job for the same amount of time.
  • I'm not allowed to call these a scam....so I won't.

    Run away very quickly.

Their products are ridiculously expensive, its a wonder anyone buys them.

I looked in to it and decided against it.

I know someone who lives and breathes Herbalife and it seems to have taken over her life. She isn't able to post on Facebook or send me an email without talking about it. She does seem to be quite successful though.

I've just been reading a bit more about Herbalife and looked around at other forums where people discuss their experiences. It seems that some people have lost quite a lot of money. They've been pushed into buying products that they can't sell. It costs a lot to sign up and unless you can afford to lose that money I wouldn't do it.
It has been compared to Avon but I've been an Avon rep and this sounds quite different. I didn't have to spend anything to start with Avon and I sold a lot a lot of products. I would have stayed with them but whenever I sent in my order they couldn't supply all the goods. I had to keep telling people that their product hadn't arrived. I was finally put off when people warned me not to be out in the evening in the area as it was dangerous and I could get mugged. Avon would be a better bet though if you sell to work colleagues and friends.

  • I have been a herbalife distributer since December 2012. Started off as customer and got my own results from it and thought of joining the buisness. Got the international business pack in december which was around £90.00 but comes with £80.00 worth of prodcuts. Never once had to buy any of the products upfront.

Got myself 4-5 customers within my first order and started to climb the marketing ladder and introducing people who noticed by body shape changing for the better. Continuing to get more customers and also more team into the business.

Average monthly earnings are around 600-700 per month. Not to bad for a 22 year old who works a full time job and also at college 2 nights a week running herbalife a few nights a week as well.

I guess its like anything. If you want it to be sucessfull. Put the work into it and grow your business and take the time and efford to attend the training events that herbalife put on for you.

Everyone is different and it may not be for them but it was a risk i took and glad i did.

Anyone who is thinking of trying this should Google "Herbalife scam" and similar expressions!

Searching MSE for previous discussions of this scheme is another good idea.

If Herbalife is so good, how come my very over-weight mate has failed to lose a single lb despite using the product for 6 months.
    Nuff said.
