mystic_trev wrote: »....or Banner's last stand

The bloke is seriously deluded!
While every other baby boomer is enjoying a retirement plump with the benefits of hpi and downsizing, banner chooses to live like a student in some cruddy rental, predicting a house price crash that will never happen so that he can impress some much poorer people on the internet with his bank balance.
I can't believe they are still talking about dead cat bounces over there. It has been years, are they completely insane?0 -
And the good news just keeps coming. Another company bites the dust that is Dreams.0

Considering your overflowing concern for FTB's, maybe you can let us know how this helps?
I said you were blind to the current market, and there you go proving it.
The single reason why the Housing market is on the up is because it is being fed from the bottom now - yes, that's FTB's!
FTB's are now able to enter the market, lot's of schemes to help them - and they are returning in their droves.
Now, we can argue until the cows come home whether the best interests are served to the FTB's by helping them buy properties at high prices ......... but that's just spitting in the wind.
What is happening NOW, up and down the country, is that people are getting on with their lives - prices are not going to fall - renting is a mugs game - people are buying and buying fast.
This drives up the prices as 5 buyers chase every property - certainly at the FTB's end of the market.
The House price 'correction' has happened by the rise in inflation - the prices were never likely to crash as they did/have in Ireland.
So, can we now get some more positive attitude from you from now on ..... stop taking great pleasure in posting misery - post some great news, lot's of it about if you look!Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

If jobs were going in Expedia or Skyscanner I would agree. Thomas Cook are an anachronism these days. They are as relevant to holidays in 2013 as HMV are to music.0 -
