Depends on the definition of improved. Clear what most of the media's definition is, even if their readers religiously disagree with them.
One thing that's noticeable is that if the BBC allows comments on such HPI articles, they are normally against HPI. So are the Guardian, Independant and Telegraph comments.
Doesn't make any difference though, to the media, improvement is based on prices and that's hwo they will write articles, regardless of how their readers see it.0 -
Sales UP, Mortgage Approvals UP, House Prices UP, Interest Rates DOWN, It's a bang on cert that 2013 will see a BIG jump in house prices!
Everyone who has eyes that work can see that ..... those still waiting, shame, continue wasting your lives hoping and waiting and taking glee in any scrap of bad news.

I will debate ... but you have never been able to see anything other than glee in others misery.
A factory closes with 5,000 job loses - YOU come on here posting about it (we can all hear your chuckles within your words).
House Prices drop one month and you are here - celebrating! Someone may have had their home repossessed that month, but that means nothing to you.
Even here, when you post positive news - House Prices increasing and showing the economy emerging from the darkest of days - you put a negative slant on the positive.
I will have a discussion with anyone about anything, but, you are so negative that I could never change you into someone who can see the good in the world.
You seem, to me, to be a self centred poster who has very little of life to live and can only see happiness in others sorrow .... I would say I feel sorry for you, but I cannot extend that to someone who can only sneer at those who find themselves in unfortunate financial positions.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

Not bad MrRee!
Considering your overflowing concern for FTB's, maybe you can let us know how this helps?0 -

However the only true evidence of an improving market would be a significant increase in the level of sales.
It's not as if we can blame increased lending on increasing house prices.
Might have to face up to it - the economy's coming to the end of the 'bumping along the bottom' phase.0 -
