    Apart from that.

Half of that can be seen as a downward pull too.

I mean, how is high rents and increased apprenticehips a good thing?

Remember, apprentice min wage currently is £2.65 an hour and companies are getting paid to take them on. There is absolutely nothing to say the company has to keep them on after the year.

It's not the same as apprenticships in years gone past.

I think the prescription tint on your glasses is a little too high personally.

    Quite possibly.

What are the options though? If I've got a 20 year investment horizon and money to invest what do I do with it?

Stick it in the bank at negative real inflation rates because I'm too s**t scared to take some risk?

Indeed, looks like this dead cat bounce has entered its 3rd year as at 9:48 this morning rantnrave posted the words "dead cat bounce". You really couldn't make such deep routed delusion up. But I'm sure the HPC sheeple will all find BruceSpanners words of reassurance comforting. Lets not forget that these are the vile creatures who wish unemployment and homelessness on everyone just so they could pick up a dream house on the cheap.

i am sure they will realise one day, that the massive crash is not going to happen, that they have wasted their money on rent ---money saved by renting -£15000 :rotfl:

When does one side or the other win though?
It is obvious to me that if HPC'ers win then there will have been an almighty crash, they can all cash out their gold and buy into the housing market, the website spends a few months in self glory with lots of back patting, an influx of new members trying to cash in on the glory and also get in on the action.
However at what point do they concede that they were wrong?
Any continued rise in property prices is all part of the bigger bubble and only adds to the weight of the crash, stagnation is merely delay of the inevitable, but when do they concede it's not going to spectacularly collapse?

I guess in a way then they survive for longer if there is indeed no crash

You cannot slate them as those that really did STR (and I'm willing to bet that it's not as many as would have you believe) were only doing as they saw it would pan out and taking appropriate action in their eyes.

    ....or Banner's last stand ;)
The harder they try to scare me into spending my money, the more I know that, in the present market conditions, cash is king.

    The bloke is seriously deluded!

I read HPC and it's full of the same clich!s and the same people saying the same thing.

I think he's a super troll or a kid. I expect a certain level of derangement on HPC, but not on that level!
