Bought a new steam generator iron in sainsbobs today on offer, as mine has been playing up, its not producing any steam so am waiting for it to cool down to put it back in the box and return it tomorrow:mad:
Also got some huge chicken thighs on offer, so boned them out and they are currently simmering away in a creamy white wine sauce, one dinner for us and one for the freezer, will really need to stop shopping and get it emptied!

    Evening all,

I was busy doing jobs all morning upstairs mainly, but it looked like rain so I didnt put the washing out-shame,I got a load of bedding dry yesterday.Even did a bit of decluttering.

DH and DS2 came back at lunchtime as they have finished a job.Unfortunately its gone a bit quiet now, hardly anything come in recently :( Anyway DH decided to clean the conservatory roof, blimey what a difference now the green mould from the trees has gone.I'm going to emulsion it soon, since our furniture swap round it doesnt really match.

We went to town to go to the bank so I could pay in the cheque from the pet insurance, and then to pick up my new specs.Back home and neither DS in for tea so picked up a reduced paella from marks.Cleaned the kitchen and now off to watch a spot of television.
I prefer going to bed lateish too,but DH usually goes up before me and starts snoring as soon as his head touches,so I read on my tablet till I drop off :D

Have a good evening everyone x

I still have plans to my our Kitchen cupboards! I have done the one. But In truth they could all do with having a go at.
I managed to rearrange four cupboards, I made the glasses and mug double cupboard into a food cupboard, one narrow food cupboard into the mugs, cereal and bread cupboard. I've also added spreads and the tea/coffee to it. Then I've turned the fourth cupboard from food into glasses.

I had a sort out of my glasses cupboard as I had so many that I had accrued over the past 47 years ,so the charity shop got a big box as apart from about half a dozen its all I need.

I've got down to a few wine glasses and about 12 juice/water glasses. I've stored the rest in the garage so they're out the way but still accessible should I need them.

BM is on; I was informed last night that I'd need to make a loaf today.;) Mr LW always slices our HM bread (I'd have my fingers off for sure if I tried it)

This is the thing I hate about fresh bread, I've just made a cinnamon fruit loaf and slicing it is a nightmare. DS1 has just asked me to slice some ready for his breakfast in the morning. I have considered investing in a slicing guide, not sure if they're any good though.

Ive gone overboard with the tea. Ive made enough cottage pie to feed an army and theres only two of us. Son asked me what was for tea so when its cooked i'm going to send him a picture message and there will be hell to pay if he says 'Whats that?'

Good job i made extra as my eldest son came to give me a Mothers Day card and stayed for tea. :T
Its been lovely having two of my three boys in the house.:)
