O/S Daily Wednesday 06th March This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well”

Good morning all
Halight, you are back to starting us off again but it's a better time so hope you had a good sleep?
Early morning getting ready for work posts seem to be all I can manage at the moment. Too busy for a break at work and too exhausted when I get home. Roll on the weekend but I wish my life away, waiting for weekends and holidays.
Hope to have an ebay blitz tonight as DH is going out. Sold one game on ebay and a book on Amazon yesterday and it all adds up.
Salmon and stir fry veggies for dinner as a quick one before DH goes out. Usual HM soup for lunch.
Spring weather looks like it has left us, so no washing out
I better get going so will leave with well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all:j:j
Chilly outside this morning, They have said that we will be having rain here this afternoon.
(Hester) I will keep My clothes on today:D Don't wont a chill.:D
Not a good night again. I woke up in lots of pain with my wrist:mad: Its my own fault. At some point In time In the night I must have ended up with my arm under me. And slept on my wrist. Not a good idea! Anyway painful arm! So That was it then I was awake! My arm felt loads better 10 mins after I had rubbed the deep heat into it. Its good stuff that!
My wrist this morning, Dose not really hurt, But dose feel sore.
Now get this. Strange. pattern here.
I go to bed at around 10:00-10:30 on a night.
As you know for nearly two weeks now Iv been wakening up, and getting up at some point between 2:30-3:30 In the morning. Pottering about for a bit and then having a sleep In my chair until anytime between 5:30-6:30.
Last Night I woke up with my wrist at 2:15am That's very close to the time frame that I have been waking up anyway. So maybe if I had been sleeping "normally" I would not have woken up ? Maybe my wrist did not wake me.
It seems that I can go to bed, Go off to sleep very easy, But only really sleep for around 5 hours before I wake up .
So maybe If I wont to have a "Full" Nights sleep then I should be going to bed later.
I have been going to bed at the same time as when I was working full time. Iv also been getting up at about 6:00am Which is not long after when I would have been getting up for work as when I had my Job. Iv kept the same pattern. I did this so when I got another Job I would still be in a working route,
Even when I knew That The chances of me getting another Job soon, Because of My consultant wanting to do something about my little fellow In my head. I still kept my sleeping pattern.
But Now I'm on the steroids, My body/Mind dose not wont to play that game any more. The steroids are making my mind/body more active or something like that,
So I think I'm going to have a think about going to bed a bit later, In the hope I can sleep until morning, I'm thinking go to bed a midnight. Get up at five In the morning, These the 5 hours. I can always have nap after lunch if need be.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
OOOOO Sorry for the long post above.:p
Anyway,
Today my wife's not at work. we shall be popping out to Aldi later.
There are just the normal tidying up at home Jobs to do.
You know I did think about joining that Fly lady thread, To help me get sorted with my House Jobs,
But Just reading the Dam thing tires me out:D
Its a good wrist rest day today. I plan on giving it a good rest. Something that I really have not been doing and should have.
My Wife later this afternoon. Will be bakeing me another Weet-a-bix and banana cake. Iv got a thing for that at the moment. :j:j
When I do go In to Hospital. She has orders to being them In for me.:j:j
Well i hope that You all have a great day
Enjoy:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Good Morning chums not cold but a bit grey looking outside and misty at the moment .
Well my stair carpet is down and I am very pleased with it .Only thing I wasn't happy about was the mess the fitter made with his bolster on the new paintwork in the skirting board, but I will get DD to touch it up for me as its got a bit scratched .The stairman Richard arrived on time and took my stairlift off and then almost straight away the carpet man came .Very jolly chap, although a bit over the top for my liking.I seemed to be making 10 cups of tea which he drank without stopping, but at least its done now and fitted. He wasn't the usual fitter he was a contract one. When I get my sitting room done I'll probably ask for their own fitter as he was a bit more careful.I always use a local firm for carpets and furniture and its an old estbalished one and the sort that still say good morning when you walk in the door and are very polite when helping you choose. The stair chap was lovely as he could see I was a bit taken aback by this chap and he stayed until the fitter had finished and had gone and then refitted my lift.I didn't see upstairs until it was fitted so didn't see the damage ,but its not too much of a problem although my DD will hit the roof when she sees it.
Mid week already the time is just flying by ,it will soon be Easter and hopefully summer will be on its way again.NSD today for me but a start will be made on my spring cleaning I think.
have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning All
Cloudy here but not raining yet, we should have it dry today so will put the towels on the line anyway. Being thoroughly spoiled here with getting the washing dried outside, it will come as a shock when it rains! It hasn't rained here for 3 weeks which must be some sort of miracle.
Had good feedback yesterday from the house viewing on Friday, early days but promising anyway.
DD made lentil soup in the slow cooker last night which seems to be ok, haven't done it that way before, she will take some for lunch and I will take a salad. LO tea again last night, all the veg thrown in a pan and heated up - a kind of bubble and squeak which was very tasty.
Washed my car last night, decided to put the money I saved from the car wash into my £1 a day tin, may do this with anything I do myself that I usually pay for.
Hugs to those not feeling quite up to scratch - Headlight keep those clothes on and get to the doctors, I find the more I worry about not sleeping the worse it becomes, seem to manage on 5/6 hours a night these days.
Take care. XX0 -
Morning all,
Thanks to DH snoring I was woken at 4.20, tossed and turned but due to the decibels I couldn't go back to sleep so got up and put BM on. Typical..... just when DGD is still sleeping. And DH still snoring his bl00dy head off !!
Didn't get around to doing anything with the chicken thighs y/day due to me having to take DGD2 to the drs. at 4.50 He gave her Amoxicilan as she has middle ear infections. i've warmed the wheat bag and that's been a comfort to her. DGD3 is on Amoxi too but DD2 can't get her to take it. Her temp is still 40.2, I suggested she hide the medicine in with banana yougurt as the med smells the same.
DD2 is so unwell, swollen glands, fever, sore throat and aches.
It'd DGD2's 4th birthday on Saturday and her party on Sunday, DD is panicing, don't know why as I'm doing all of the food and decorating the hall I've hired for about 25 guests, that's the kids and parents.
I'll make a chicken and ham pie for dinner, again enough for all of us, plus DD & SiL2b.
Hope it stays dry today so we can take DGD to the Rural Life Museum where they have lots of animals. It was warm enough for her to play in the garden y/day.
Well, must get on and do something to keep me awake.
Have a good day all.0
