    Morning Halight and all.

Halight, i'm not the best of sleepers i must say but one thing ive learned from my own body. Now your going to laugh at this but i'm going to say it anyway.

No matter how tired i am at bed time unless i have yawned, theres absolutely no chance i'll drop off to sleep if i go to bed. To make sure, i wait until ive yawned twice and then i know i'll pretty well drop off straight away. Of course there are the exceptions like last night, i made myself go to bed at midnight even though i hadnt yawned and i was still counting sheep at 3am. I finally dropped off around 4 and slept solidly till i woke up at 10 with two dogs licking my face. My son had gone to college and not wanting them to wake me up by scratching the living room door he opened the living room door to let them out of the room. I must say, he leaves about 8 and they were curled up alongside me till they woke me up licking at around 10. Thing is, i dont like dog hairs on the bed so i'll be picking them off for ages.

Postie has just been and bought me £40 in Debenhams vouchers (courtesy of ShopandScan). £30 of those will be given to my daughter for her birthday present. She's 27 on the 15th but has asked for them early.... just like she asked for her Christmas vouchers early..... This is becoming a bit of a habit and i'm not sure i like it.

Jobs for today. Not sure how many i'll get round to completing but i'll have a go anyway.

    [STRIKE]Vacuum upstairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vacuum downstairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Stairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Bleach drains[/STRIKE]
Bleach wash the side of the house
Tea - Well i was going to do shepherds pie but i'm not sure now.

    Have a good day all.

Hello everybody! Well a bit cloudy here but another nice Spring day. Unfortunately OH decided last night that it was going to rain today so I have not been left the saws or the hedge trimmers so I cannot carry on and do any gardening - I am not cutting a hedge with pruning shears.... Bit annoyed really as we are away visiting his mother this weekend so it will be another weekend gone..... Made some soup last night to use up the left over pasta and it tasted quite nice so OH has taken that for lunch. Should be enough for me as well. Sausage and mash, carrots and sprouts for dinner tonight :j Got some vacuum bags last night from A**A so should be able to do some storing work. As for work same situation as yesterday - nobody around to ask for more...... However I did get paid on time this month and not 3 weeks late like last month. :D Right best go and see to the budgies/outisde birdies now. Hope everyone has a good day!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Woke up to rain this morning, but is dry and cloudy today, not at all like yesterday :(. Some forecasts are saying that we could be in for some more snow at the end of the week into early next week
Had to do the main shop today, because the car is in for its MOT tomorrow.
I am so glad we did, we got 6 chickens reduced from £3.89 to £1.91 in Aldi :j:jthere were 4 boxes of them reduced to half price, I would have got more but they wouldn't have fitted into the freezer, but I always leave some for other people anyway, I have calculated that I can make at least 30 dinners, plus stock all for £11.46 :D
    I so lurve a bargain :D

halight, I am so glad that you have your clothes on today, it is a little chilly out there.
Come on tell us when this Doctor's appointment is!

Builder been and gone. Did the pointing and cleaned out my gutters. £55, which I thought was very reasonable.
He's a good guy, really reliable, good workmanship and reasonable rates, what more can you ask?

Just got 24 lamb cutlets from Westin Gourmet for £19!

Well, I have to say, I'm disappointed that we're not getting Halight without his clothes!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I still have plans to my our Kitchen cupboards! I have done the one. But In truth they could all do with having a go at.
*groans* Don't remind me; most of ours need doing, but I need Mr LW's help. The saucepan cupboard has been done, so that's a start, I suppose.:o

I've reluctantly had to resort to using rubber gloves; I hate wearing them; I don't have a lot of feeling in my fingers at the best of times, and it's even worse with these dratted gloves on, so I have to be extremely careful not to drop things; but it does mean I can leave my wrist splints on for most jobs that involve putting my hands in water. Luckily, the ones we had stashed in the drawer are large size (to be able to fit Mr LW's hands) so I can get them on over the splints.:o

I've washed a top by hand today, and it's pretty much drip-drying outside, because I can't wring it out worth tuppence.:D I hope the weather stays dry out, and the wind will maybe dry the top for me.;)

BM is on; I was informed last night that I'd need to make a loaf today.;) Mr LW always slices our HM bread (I'd have my fingers off for sure if I tried it) so it's his job to monitor what we have, and get the BM down from its home on top of the fridge-freezer for me when I need to make another loaf.:o

Mr LW is on late shift today, so we shall nuke the 2nd half of yesterday's lasagne for dins; and there's choccy mousse for pud.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I'll have to sleep in more often. Ive done all the jobs i set out to do apart from bleach wash the side of the house cause the spray thingy has gone walkabouts.... I'm dead mad about that.

Ive gone overboard with the tea. Ive made enough cottage pie to feed an army and theres only two of us. Son asked me what was for tea so when its cooked i'm going to send him a picture message and there will be hell to pay if he says 'Whats that?'

Just popped out to my local shop to get a couple of bits and got stopped by a white van man who wanted to know if i wanted to buy a mattress.... obviously knock off. Oh well, we do get a 'better class' of people round here (not).

    Onwards and forwards eh?

    Afternoon all,

Managed to get most of today's jobs done. I'm feeling a bit more human now I've had a shower and put my face on.
Had a very OS afternoon. Dh managed to fit a belt on my Hoover that was an old one I had in the cupboard for an old Hoover. That's saved us a couple of pounds:money:
I've written a very detailed shopping list for Mr A and have a £5 voucher off a £40 spend so hoping to just spend that. That will be halfing our usual food budget this week, but have lots of store cupboard and freezer stuff in so will be pleased if we can do that. Every penny saved is more towards paying off the debt. I've also sold some old brooches on eBay that have done better than I thought so another £20 in the pot.
I'm another one who goes to bed lateish half eleven or twelve otherwise I'd be awake at 2 and I can never get back to sleep.
Tea tonight will be pasta salad and fish although everything tastes like cardboard with my cold. Have a good evening all J x
