Just wondering if anybody had any dealings relating to this lot?
They have stuck a notice on my windscreen suggesting I 'left' a car park in their control.....I infact carried my daughters luggage onto the connecting station platform (stevenage) and then returned to the car!
The Parking charge states i MUST pay £54 in the next 14 days or £90 thereafter!!
Any help would be appreciated - many thanks in advance

Request signed evidence of their proprietry interest in the land. Request a comprehensive breakdown of the loss they have suffered. Point out that as a charge, it amounts to being a PENALTY and illegal under the unfair contract terms. in this situation, the use of the word CHARGE is considered in law to be a 'disguised penalty'. Do appeal and ask for a POPLA code should they dismiss your appeal. Do appeal as PE are trying their luck lately.0

If you did search on ukpc you'd see hundreds of threads about these jokers. Providing there nothing about bylaws on the ticket just ignore them. It's highly unlikely it will go beyond junk mail to you. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yes they are a large company run by scamming scumbags that try to impersonate authority, ignore them and their other companies who also impersonate authority, Debt Recovery plus and Zenith Collections.
You will be threatened by them all and then they give up!0 -

UKPC and others are discussed every day here. Usual advice here:

I would appeal to UKPC and then appeal to POPLA to cost them money. Word the POPLA appeal right and it should be cancelled.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Who? UKPC....
Don't think so, never heard of them....:whistle:0 -
I'm in Stevenage and got a UKPC ticket a couple of weeks back (disabled person parking in disabled space). No intention of paying it or entering into any correspondence with them.
I use the station every day and get dropped off in the Leisure Park. Sometimes they have "spotters" waiting near the bottom of the steps to see if they can catch anybody out.
It's a scam and they're not entitled to a penny from either of us. Please feel free to PM me if you need a bit more reassurance. Can I help?0 -
Thank you ALL for replying to my post.
I am not from the Stevenage area and was actually confronted by the man in the blue uniform as he was attaching the sticky ticket to my windscreen as i returned to the car!
I asked "why i was being given the ticket and what made him think i'd even left what he called the site"? - he said he had watched us go onto the bridge!!
I had seen no signs to say that setting down/dropping off was not allowed.......he pointed to a sign at least 7ft 6ins off the ground and said it says no leaving the site (in a tiny yellow box with writing about 1/2 ins high - how the hell anyone can see it i've no idea!!)) - I hadn't realised i had as the steps/ramp are in the car park!!! I did take 6 photos as evidence.
I must admit to feeling very nervous about not paying this BUT since searching on here i have seen what others are also saying!
Any further advice or help would be appreciated... many, many thanks SPB0 -

Leaving aside:
- Only the landowner (not UKPC) can claim for damages
- The damages for leaving the site cannot possibly be £60 or whatever they are demanding
- UKPC don't do court
their operative has failed any attempt to mitigate the damages, despite having the opportunity to do so. He should have approached you and told you not to leave the site. Having not done so, they have even less of a case than they did anyway (which is no case at all).
You are perfectly safe to ignore them.
Just to check - it's not a lease/hire/company car, is it? If it is, then you MUST appeal in order to keep the lease/hire company out of the loop, where they have a habit of charging an outrageous admin fee and passing it on to you.0 -
No its not a lease/hire or company car - i'm still feeling slightly concerned about leaving it though!!!0
