Come on folks lets play the game and answer what the OP asked!!

The answer is a resounding NO.

If they insist on a credit card you will need a credit card.

The answer is very simple. Prepaid cards are not credit cards.
Your parents have money. I am sure they have a credit card and can use it to pay the deposit.
And yes, the hotel can ask for whatever deposit they want.

So if parents are paying for it why do you want to know if your cashplus card can be used for the deposit....

Sorry and this is not judging you. As you say we do not know the full picture.
I take it a cashplus card is a prepay card. If it is then I would say, you might be lucky. All you can do is ask them.

As its a deposit they may require a normal card. But that will depend on the T/C. As they may need to way to debit further funds should you pull out later on.

How many posts have there been recently where they begin "Wedding to pay for, what credit card should i get ?"

OP, take from these posts one piece of advice - make sure you can pay for what you need for your wedding without borrowing. From anywhere. It's just one day, it can be done very cheaply.

Being on a DMP does sort of show that you're not very good with finances.

I would be very weary about paying for anything like a deposit using a debit card and even more so to another country. If it has to be card then it should be a credit card to ensure you are covered.

Further, I would recommend the whole thing is paid for as a package with ABTA (or the like) coverage to ensure if one thing is cancelled then everything is. i.e. if the hotel burns down whole thing can be refunded.

If credit cards are used ensure that each person makes their own bookings as payments for a third party is not covered under S75.
