Shandrani hotel Mauritius

Hi all :j
I am getting married next year in Mauritius but we don't have a credit card due to being on a debt plan with Gregory Pennington and have been for 3 Years

The hotel want a security deposit of 40% of total bill around £3300 !!
They want this by credit card which we don't have we do have a pre paid cash plus card would this do , for Mauritius places that need a credit card eg: the hotel

Also we are booking with a high street travel agent can the hotel still ask for a deposit of so much ?

    Irrelevant.

You're on a DMP. Your spending/someone else is spending a small fortune on a wedding in Mauritius. Living as if you're a millionaire.

    I wonder why you're on a DMP.

    Do the right thing.

Pay off your debts first then have a fancy wedding.

Marriage is expensive. Divorce can cost even more. Love is free. Postpone the marriage and use the money to pay off your debts. If you both love each other then it should be a no-brainier. Also remember love conquers all.

How about this for an idea?

Get your parents to pay your debts off?

Or stand on your own two feet and take responsibility maybe?
