Oafs in the gym

No one but me knows how long or hard the journey to get me into that gym. Possibly one of the hardest things I've done. I'm enjoying it, and making good progress. Ive only been going for a couple of months, but have seen people of all shapes and sizes, and being a chatty person, have said hi to lots of them. Every single person has their own story, they have their own reasons for going, and their own goals.
No one has the right to judge anyone else. I'm glad you are not letting them stop you, it sounds like you are doing really well, you should be very proud of yourself.

They're the guys who every time a new fad workout arrives they'll be over it like flies round poop but the reality is half of them have never learned how to lift properly, half of them never learned how to work out properly & half of them will spout nonsense at will.
Just remind yourself that not everyone goes to the gym to turn into a tank - some of us do it because we want to do something about weight issues and believe it or not, excess weight doesn't just disappear! That's why the proper gym goers not only accept people like you, but will actually offer advice if asked & be happy to see you. They don't judge because chances are if you see 2-3 of them standing, atleast one of them was "morbidly obese" at some point as well.
I'd love to know what this zombie stuff is all about though, currently I'm jogging along & frankly it'd be more fun if there was a zombie behind me - although I'd have to resist temptation to go all Shaun of the Dead. Where I go is getting new machines in at the end of this month (not before time!) with all sorts of screens & crap, so I'm hoping there'll be some stuff on there to make 10 minutes of jogging a little less boring!
JAG - great work by the way, granted I'm not one who likes women who can lift more than me (hey, there has to be some evidence of me being a man right?) but you look great for it.
Depending on the type of phone you have (iPhone or iPod touch work, Android and I think Windows phones as well), go into the App Store (or whatever it's called for you) and search for Zombies Run - there's a main running app and a C25K to choose from. It costs a couple of quid, but it's worth it, IMO.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Do get the Zombies Run apps, otherwise use one of the preset interval training programmes on the machine - Hills or Random - even walk on a high level if you prefer that to jogging. I never make a client run unless they actively want to but I do push them on levels.
I'd also say that unless you are a complete beginner or have health issues if you are bored you are not training hard enough. After the warm up (full ten mins easy conversational pace before intervals) you should be intermittently gasping for air and muscles burning, you should be too focussed on powering up that next hill/ doing that next burst of speed to think about being bored.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
