Yes, complain about them, they have no right to do that to anyone. The next person they do that to will probably never go to the gym again.

Crikey no, it's an all singing, all dancing new build (actually 4 centres across the borough that I can use) that's packed to the rafters all the time. No sawdust and DEFINITELY no spit!

Sorry but I have to ask what is being "oinked at". I took it to mean being nasty in some way based on the rest of the post but have never heard that phrase and would like to understand its meaning?

I'm shocked, seriously shocked that two adults would "oink" at someone, I too was confused by what "oinking" was.

I go to the gym, because I need too, need to shift those moobs :-) I'd suggest anyone that is overweight and attending a gym is in the right place! OP what sort of workout are you doing to shift the weight? Are you also counting calories? I've lost half a stone this year, but as I'm quitting smoking at the moment, I'm not that concerned at this stage that the weight isn't dropping off.

Sorry to hear this Jojo. If it's any consolation my (insider) experience is that most staff and many members have the greatest respect for anyone of any age shape or size who gets into the gym and grafts to their own ability, and little to no respect for anyone who poses up a storm more than they lift or wears full face make up and never breaks a sweat.

Next time please report them to a supervisor or manager immediately. That's unacceptable behaviour, is likely breaching membership terms and conditions and they should be warned.

OP, that is awful. But fair play to you for dealing with it in such a positive way and not letting them put you off.

I believe that regardless of shape or size most people in the gym are there because they want to improve their fitness and take control of their health. It makes no sense why anyone should mock this, better to be in the gym than sitting at home!

I do find a small minority of selfish posers do go to the gym though and seem to be there to look down their nose/judge other people. And as for the people who drop weights loudly... dont get me started! :mad:
